As we do not need to have contact with our customers, we are continuing to work. We do ask that everyone does bank transfers, limiting risk of exposure with cash. For our regular cash customers we will just ask that you ask your family or friends if they can do a bank transfer for you. If this is not possible, then please put the money in a plastic bag a...nd put it out when our workers get there, maybe on the back door step when you know he is not near the door. One deep watering per week is recommended. Don't cut your lawn too short, it dries out too quickly and lets the weeds in. 05.01.2022 Hi to all our lovely customers, a lot of you have lawn which is struggling even though the sprinklers are being used. Often the cause is that the soil dried out too much during the long hot dry and it becomes water repellent. To remedy this buy a bottle of soil wetter, you can get the hose click on type now and spray it onto your lawn especially the really bare bits. Available from your local hardware store and all you have to do is attach the hose and spray, it will mix it with the correct ratios. Do this the day before your sprinklers day. You will then notice that the lawn will pick up due to the water being able to get to the roots instead of running off. Then a week later we can come and fertilise your lawn for you with our special blend. Hope this is of interest for you. From all the team

03.01.2022 Hello to everyone, We sincerely hope that reading this it finds you safe and well. It has been a devastating time for a lot of the people of Townsville. Every time I hear the rain fall at more than a drizzle, I wonder if someone else is going to lose treasured memories. Some of our customers have been fortunate and not been flooded, they are now watching their lawns grow at the rate of knots. I have put some information below for these people to determine when to get the law...n mown. It will be dependant on the water going down enough for our mower trailer to get out of Oonoonba. I will be contacting people on a daily basis to organise work being carried out. Wet grass tends to cut less cleanly, resulting in larger clippings. These wet clippings like to clump together and block up the mower's deck. As wet grass doesn't mulch well, it can fall out of the deck in large, heavy clumps. Rather than evenly spreading back into the lawn as mulch, these clumps can squash and eventually kill patches of lawn. Mowing wet lawns increases the risk of rut damage, since the soil is softer and more slippery for mowers, and the grass roots can more easily be torn out by the mower tires. If the mower sinks too much the ruts will need to be repaired Walk over your lawn and if it is not too wet and especially not squelchy under foot and your feet or shoes are not getting wet then it is good to go.
