25.01.2022 Break a leg Madi! Madi (Big Picture, year nine advisory), is a part of Sorell School's musical production of "Footloose". Premiering today and open to the public this Friday and Saturday night, 7.30pm, in Sorell School's Performing Arts Centre.



24.01.2022 On Monday 18th March Michaela and Hayley attended the Tasmanian Youth Climate Leaders Conference at Hobart College along with 150 other students from schools in southern Tasmania. We started the morning off with some great talks, poetry and music. In the afternoon we all went to the Hobart College Sustainability Center and broke up into groups to talk about what changes we could implement into our own school. Michaela "It's great that youth are coming up with different ideas to help with climate change" Hayley " It was very interesting and eye opening, its important that everyone makes some changes no matter how small" The next conference Is on the 16th of September 2019 where we can show what changes we have implemented in our school.

13.01.2022 On Monday, 1st March five students from Big Picture attended the GRIP Student Leadership Conference at the Hotel Grand Chancellor in Hobart. GRIP Leadership provides practical interactive leadership training events for students and teachers in Australia and New Zealand. 08.01.2022 Danny concluded his walk from Big Picture Launceston to Sorell School’s Big Picture Academy this morning. A massive effort and we couldn’t be prouder, Danny has reached his goal of raising $5000 for the Cancer Council Tasmania, with some funds still to come in. 04.01.2022 On the 19th of March our grade 10 advisory visited Rosny College for a tour. We came accross a diverse range of students and met several different teachers. We then walked from Rosny College over the bridge to Botanical Gardens. Quite a few people were nervous about crossing the bridge but when we finally got to solid ground it wasn't really that bad, we always need to remember to challenge ourselves.
