25.01.2022 We were fortunate to have a lovely big ride this morning, taking out 11 customers through the Murchison River and onto Murchison House Station. All horses and riders were an absolute delight!

16.01.2022 Big River Ranch Kalbarri is looking for experienced horse riders to join the team in taking out daily horse rides The ideal candidate will have experience and knowledge in how to handle, care for and ride horses at all paces. The job includes: ... * Assisting and guiding two hour bush trail rides through and around the Murchison River, twice a day * Assisting with catching, tacking up, mounting riders and untacking horses * Assisting with daily feeds * Undertaking pony rides around the ranch * Any other tasks or maintenance that may be required involving the horses or keeping of the ranch The ranch runs 7 days a week however employees are only required to work 5 days a week. Work days are split shifts, starting from 8am-12pm and 2pm-5pm and is paid as per a daily rate Accomodation is available if required with all amenities onsite Kalbarri is a beautiful town with many picturesque views that are enjoyed along our daily rides along with multiple tourists attractions to keep you busy on your days off, certainly not an opportunity to miss! Walli is one of our beginner horses who often takes out all the mums on our rides. FUN FACT: Walli is currently our oldest working horse that we have and he’s best mate is Barney BREED: Standardbred

09.01.2022 RUMOUR Meet this gorgeous boy, Rumour! Rumour is a valuable and loved member of our horsey herd who often becomes a favourite amongst those who handle and ride him. Rumour is used as both a customer and staff horse and although is usually ridden by intermediate and advanced riders, he does take beginners at times. FUN FACT: Although majority of our horses are off the track, we recently discovered that Rumour has never raced nor trialled! He also likes to hang out with his paddock buddies Tower and Rebel BREED: Thoroughbred

08.01.2022 MYSTIC Meet our sweet little lady, Mystic! Mystic is a valuable and long term member of our horsey herd who will often take out children and beginner riders and the occasional intermediate. Although Mystic can be a typical moody mare at times, nothing ever fazes her and she is never bothered when left behind or separated from the group out on the trails. FUN FACT: Mystic is always at the back of the line and is our only female horse! Her on and off boyfriend is Desi BREED: Standardbred

07.01.2022 Diablo Meet our unicorn pony, Diablo! This cheeky pony is a valuable member of our horsey herd who takes the little ones on pony rides around the ranch and has done for many years. This cutie pie is an absolute sucker for a carrot and is always one of the first to greet new customers. FUN FACT: Diablo is our smallest horse that we have here at the ranch and his best mates are Freckles and Bruno BREED: Knabstrapper

Astrix is another one of our go to’s, who often takes out beginners, intermediates and advanced riders. FUN FACT: Astrix is one of the few horses who never gets upset when other horses are in his personal bubble. He also likes hanging out with his paddock buddy, Prince. BREED: Thoroughbred
