14.01.2022 Nice day for it.
12.01.2022 In our restoration practice we utilise all methods available to us to strategically remove weeds according to best practice guidelines. A hot button issue and often of concern to restoration professionals, landholders and the general population is the responsible use of herbicides. Following the treatment of weed species, the subsequent disturbance can facilitate the regeneration of native species from the seed bank in sites with a degree of resilience. Broad scale restor...ation efforts have achieved great things, the outcomes of which would not have been possible on the scale undertaken without the responsible use of herbicides. The use of herbicides in restoration projects is ever diminishing, from year one to year three and it’s further decreased when weeds are treated at rosette and cotyledon stage on well managed projects. Author of the best-selling book Feral Future Tim Low was commissioned to write this report, Glyphosate: A Chemical to Understand, in an attempt to reconcile the conflicting findings, and to consider the outcomes if Australia bans glyphosate. https://invasives.org.au//glyphosate-a-chemical-to-unders/
