21.01.2022 Ballet is often thought of as an individualist pursuit, but in the corps de ballet it is all about working together. Our gorgeous 6 year olds have been practicing cooperation by learning the dance of the 4 cygnets from Swan Lake Due to this weeks dress ups, it ended up being the 8 unicorns instead Minor details.

20.01.2022 Dear Big Top Ballet Families, In amongst all the upheaval I just wanted to let you all know that our classes are still running as scheduled. I am giving a lot of consideration to this and at present I am deciding to continue dancing as schools and preschools are still operational. Please do be judicious where grandparents or other vulnerable community members are concerned. We have stepped up cleaning of the studio, and soap and paper towels are in the bathroom, so please do make use of these facilities. As always I am happy to offer make up classes that you can utilise in later terms if you need to self isolate. 16.01.2022 Gorgeous Ballet Families! I can hardly believe we have reached the final week of term 2! What a ride, filled with fun and laughter and toe pointing. Thanks again for your joy and enthusiasm as we dance! WE WILL BE BACK IN THE STUDIO ON TUESDAY THE 13TH OF JULY. ... I must also say Vale, Lucette Aldous AC, enigmatic teacher at WAAPA where I trained and icon of dance in Australia. Generations of dancers in Australia carry her legacy in their bodies, and watched her in awe as she continued to dance on pointe until 80. 01.01.2022 Without further adoBIG TOP BALLET is back rocking, rolling and wiggling in the studio tomorrow! Please help us all stay safe and keep us dancing by following the conventions of social distancing in the following ways: If you or your child feel in any way unwell please do not attend class. We are happy to arrange credit etc so please do approach us if required. Only ONE adult per child enrolled remaining in the studio during class. It is most important that adults maint...ain social distancing even though kids may frolick. Our studio can accommodate a maximum capacity of 26 people. If your little one is comfortable and confident please consider volunteering to have a coffee or run some errands during class. Please bring a water bottle for your ballerina, as the kitchen facilities are currently unavailable. Please do not eat in the studio. Make use of the hand washing and sanitation facilities upon arriving and as required. Arrive no more than 5 minutes before class, and vacate the studio as quickly as possible at the end of class. Consider wearing ballet clothing under some wollies to help speed this up. We are taking measures to sanitise props and toys between classes, and doing our best to keep everyone safe while maintaining fun and magic for little ones.
