Your unflinching honesty and powerful words that you generously shared, raised awareness enabling other families to be spared the hell that is bowel cancer. The raw truth of your story motivated others to check symptoms and have colonoscopies, you saved lives. In this #CV19 pandemic it's essential to still have other health issues checked out, you don't want to survive #CoronaVirus but suffer ...and die from cancer, stroke, heart disease. I hope people #StayHome so spread is minimised, the curve is flattened and those who require ICU beds can access them when required. #WashHands distance yourself, you may be fine but people undergoing chemotherapy will not, they will die. Selfish ignorant actions will kill others. Please consider the consequences. Even young people who have a mild case can be left with irreparable lung damage. There's no point arguing now that we in Australia were unprepared; that we didn't have enough test kits, ventilators, ICU beds, protective equipment, medical professionals, that we failed to act early enough to stop tourists and more thoroughly check & monitor returning travellers or cancel large events. After this is over we will debate it all, hopefully learning from our mistakes and we will do better in the future. Now is the time we can all help turn this around by doing the right thing. 14.01.2022 Julia and Angela, like countless others, have had to (hopefully temporarily) close their small business in order to help reduce the spread of #CV19 across Victoria, #Australia Still having to pay rent, after over a month closed, they went into their salon for a couple of hours on Friday so Jules could do Ange’s hair and a few of their customers could pop in briefly to buy essential shampoo/conditioner/colour etc. for use at home in #isolation I needed to stock up on #dogfood ...(they sell single ingredient, preservative/filler free, dehydrated AU/NZ made, #healthy dental treats), so took the opportunity to bring my camera and document this unique moment in time. Usually a vibrant, colourful, thriving place, seeing their salon empty and silent was strange #ChapelStreet deserted is weird and eerie, but these two smiling through hardship is heartening It was lovely to see their customers so happy, they obviously have great appreciation for the services usually provided. One thing that struck me was that it’s more than just hair care and styling, Jules & Ange are like therapists, listening to and interested in the lives of their customers, a friendly ear, a caring heart, connection and community. Let’s hope everyone continues to do the right thing so lives can return to some kind of new (improved) normal, sooner rather than later. #RespeKtYourHAiR can mail (or locally deliver) their essential #haircare products (& healthy hound food). 13.01.2022 Great to see boats back on the Yarra River, racing in The Melbourne Head rowing regatta. It's the first time this has been permitted since The Head of the River had to be suddenly cancelled back in March to ensure we did everything possible to help stop the spread of CV19 in Victoria. Unfortunately The Head of The Yarra, scheduled to take place at the end of November, was also cancelled due to coronavirus, so yesterday was a day of gratitude and celebration. Thankful that all... rowers, young and old, are finally allowed to participate in this wonderful sport again, it's been a long hard lockdown but now crews are back to team work, healthy fitness & fun !! 11.01.2022 28.12.19 - 30.12.19 We recently embarked upon a three day two night hiking long weekend with the Twelve Apostles Lodge Walk (covering a small part of The Great Ocean Walk). This is one of the Great Walks of Australia and there was some spectacular scenery, it's a wonderful way to experience the stunning natural beauty of our Victorian Surf Coast. We were longing to swim in the beautiful deep blue sea and are looking forward to hopefully doing another walk in Tasmania one day

04.01.2022 We didn't plan to renovate, only moved here less than 2 years ago, bathrooms looked fine, but... unfortunately upstairs bathroom was leaking to kitchen below, after thorough investigation we discovered that when originally built not properly waterproofed, so the only way to properly fix was gut the whole bathroom and start again, repair water damage of what was slowly leaking for past 15 years and do waterproofing correctly. I call it bathroom rectification rather than (unan...ticipated & unexpected) renovation, an opportunity to design it to our taste, minimal, simple and clean We're very happy with the work of @visionkitchens (and bathrooms) they articulated our design perfectly with meticulous attention to detail, thanks Elle, Nick, George & Anthony, I won't hesitate to recommend your excellent workmanship ...and price wasn't crazy, not the cheapest but also not the most expensive, in the middle, although I think excellent value as this level of craftsmanship and customisation is usually priced at the very top end and out of reach for most of us. #bathroom #renovation #design #Melbourne #Victoria #interiordesign #architecture #simple #minimal #bathroomdesign #bathroomrenovation #demo #reno #visonkitchens #clean #visionkitchensandbathrooms ...also thanks to Paul for #plumbing @pncplumbinggroupptyltd again, quality you can trust and Chris their electrician too, who I engaged to do some extra work in preparation for term 2 #isolation school from home...
