17.01.2022 Mountains to the Sea. 10 days/9 nights Departs Melbourne Sunday Sept 23 2018. Expressions of interest invited Day 1 From the outskirts of Melbourne, ride the 38...km Warby Trail. This popular and scenic rail trail is well used by locals. Lunch is in picturesque Warburton. We then load the bikes and drive onto Alexandra via Healesville and Marysville passing through tall timber forests. We can stop at Marysville to see the rebirth of this town after the devastating Black Saturday bushfires. Day 2. At Alex we refit your bike and then send you off to Cathkin. It is a slow steady uphill gradient to Eglington Cutting but yesterdays ride wil have gotton the cobwebs out of your legs! At the cutting we stop for morning tea, then it all downhill to Cathkin. This is part of The Great Victorian Bike Trail. Ride on through Bushranger country and take in the majestic tree lined trail to Mansfield. Day 3 Drive up a back road to Milawa and onto Beechworth. This is a historic town with many fine original courthouse buildings and Jails. After lunch we start on our ride down to Everton and join onto the Wangaratta Bright trail. Tonight we stay in Porepunkah as part of our 3 night stay in this area. Day 4 Drive via Tawonga gap to Falls Creek. An alpine ski resort with excellent bike trails. We explore the high country and ride our bikes along the dam road to heritage listed shelters such as Wallaces Hut and Copeland Hut. Then we follow a path to an aqueduct and follow it around back to the dam and then back to the vehicle.If it snows on this day then we just have to attach skis to the bikes!! Day 5. This is a hiking day with many day hikes to choose from in the area. Mt Buffalo, Mt Feathertop via the Razorback, just a few to choose from. Day 6. Today we leave the mountains and head for the sea driving The Great Alpine Road. At Bruthen we ride the East Gippland Rail Trail to Bairnsdale. 28km. Load the bikes up at Bairnsdale and head on to Paynesville for an overnight stop. . Day 7. An early morning rise and we head to Wilson’s Promontory National Park. Affectionately known as The Prom to locals we have a range of afternoon walks to choose from. A BBQ Dinner and a sunset bike ride on the beach before heading back up to Yanakie for our overnight accommodation Day 8 A short drive up to Leongatha to ride The Great Southern Rail Trail. Beautiful dairy country and quaint towns with amazing views of Wilson's Prom at the end of the ride. Day 9. We visit coastal towns and do a bike ride on Phillip island Visit some more beaches before the finale of our world famous Penguin Parade Day 10. To finish off the tour we hike The George Bass Coastal Walk (7km) then back to the city for your hotel drop off. See more

16.01.2022 September School Holiday Special.Depart 25 September. Do Victoria's best bike trails over a week. Day 1. Lilydale to Warburton Rail Trail (33km) Day 2. The Gre...at Vic Rail Trail ,Alexendra to Mansfield section (75km) Day 3. Murray to Mountains Trail. Beechworth to Myrteford. (32km) Day 4. Falls Creek trails.It may be a ski field in winter but their are beautiful trails to explore. Visit Wallaces Hut and Copeland Hut. Day 5. Rest Morning. East Gippsalnd Rail Trail. Bruthen to Bairnsdale (28km) Day 6. Wilson's Promontory. No Bike riding. A day hike to Tongue point for spectacular views and a swim. Day 7. The Great Southern Rail Trail. Leongatha to Foster.(48km) Transport between finish and start point. All bikes carried in a converted campertailer. Price is yet to be determined but will include transport , accomodation, breakfast, morning tea, lunch. Check out the photos on the facebook page for the bicycle carrier. Bikes are well secured uisng a llop and hook method. (wheels sit in hoops, and a hook onto the crossbar holds bike in position. No hanging or tiedowns required. Please comment if interested. 03.01.2022 This time hiking in Tassie on the new and amazing Three Capes Walk. Very educational toilet facilities,with all waste helicoptered out! and works of art along the trail. (wombat scats, the only animal with cubed poo!!)
