25.01.2022 The Tour de France Cornet de Roseland day was changed due to landslides, on week after the tour it was our turn, this was an ambitious day but will be a highlig...ht of the tour as we move our way through the grand Alpes tour from Annecy to Nice over 14 days. Roseland descent is wild country just ducking around the south west base of Mont Blanc. We did come across a section of road that had been a result of the landslides, what do you do, go back up and around or get in touch of your inner mountain bike rider where a day is not complete without wet feet, we all pitched in to get across but there were a few who wanted dry feet. Come with us next year. www.bikenoweurope.com See more

23.01.2022 This Saturday 11th Jan, we are having a free fun mini-tour "Half the Bay" with some friends. We will leave Sandringham Rotunda Beach Rd and Bay Rd at 8am. Alth...ough we will not be riding fast, if you can ride 140km comfortably and you have this Saturday free, come along. We will all meet at 8 am at Sandringham, Beach Rd and Bay Rd rotunda (opposite the Sandy Pub). We will ride to Sorrento 84km then catch the Ferry (about $18) to Queenscliff for lunch. After lunch, we will ride a touristic route for another 34 km to Portarlington for our second ferry trip to Docklands $16.50. On arrival, we then ride the last 26km leg back to Sandringham to arrive at about 6:40pm As there is a festival on, there are only 28 tickets left for the Portarlington Ferry so you will need to book your ticket in advance from Portarlington to Docklands for Saturday 4:30 pm (arrive 5:40pm) https://www.portphillipferries.com.au/timetable/ * If you want to start from bikeNOW, you can leave your car at Sth Melbourne at 7 and ride to Sandringham about 17km to meet us.

15.01.2022 I love our road cycling community in Melbourne but our CTX community are the best group of girls and guys to ride with, all such great people who are considerat...e and safe .... and pretty fast. Thanks Peter Dean for organising the long lunch day out, I feel it has taken over Tour to Portsea (after 13 years of that I was happy to stop). Your work on the long lunch is not a thankless task....THANKS! Thanks Sean Ralphsmith for a great morning tea venue and your family providing such great food and venue. See more

05.01.2022 Well, that is it! Finished 3 months and 7 tours in and . Thank you for following my posts or coming with me on tour for those who did. Every year I... aspire to enhance each trip to amplify the fun and adventure, and after all the meticulous planning and organising of each tour, it is such a privilege to be able to witness first hand your experiences and satisfaction with the tours. A real take home for this year is to really stop and smell the roses, it’s not about how fast you can ride or who gets to the top of the climb first, it’s about the journey, and it has been a pleasure riding with so many great people through such diverse terrain. Sure we all get a bit fitter and lighter (sometimes heavier ) and build our skills on the bike, but in this environment we are bound to witness individuals that proceed their comforts zones, discover new capabilities and achieve obstacles they never thought were possible. This brings me so much joy and pride in what I do, not only because with every tour our bikeNOWeurope family grows, but it is also incredibly heartwarming to witness each individual help and support their riding buddies. When we had it tough with the weather or needed to modify the plan (often ) everybody understood, adapted and continued. After 3 months of travelling, what a way to finish with a trip to Versailles!!! We have an exciting line up of tours set for 2020, if you would like to be kept up to date as we refine the itinerary, please click the link below! https://www.bikenoweurope.com/

05.01.2022 The Tour de France route was announced last night and we can now finalize our Alpes tour. As predicted (guessed), the Tour de France will pass through the North...ern Alpes in the last week, this means that if you are considering joining us for the Alpes tour from Nice to Annecy you will have the option to also visit the Tour de France en route. For those visiting Annecy through Switzerland and onto Italy, you can come a little bit early and also add a Tour de France experience to your tour. We will make finishing touches to our route and update www.bikenoweurope.com over the next week. If you would like to discuss any tour options you can call me anytime on 0417052589 or visit www.bikenow.com.au and join the newsletter. See more
