24.01.2022 Road signs permitting motorcyclists to ride in selected bus lanes around Perth will be removed from this week. A trial allowing motorcycle riders to share the bus lanes concluded that there are no safety benefits. The Motorcycle Riders Association of Western Australia (MRAWA) has asked for the research that this decision was based on, as the use of bus lanes by motorcyclists has been in practice for many years in ACT and NSW. ... Motorcyclists need to be aware that a $100 infringement and 3 demerit points apply to drivers of vehicles using bus lanes illegally. #ridesafe #MRAWA

We now work for Mater in Brisbane, Griffith University Institute of Glycomics on Gold Coast, St Vincents Sydney and soon for Canberra Hospital and Gold Coast Hospital. But we have volunteers raring to go in Sunshine Coast, Central Qld, NNSW, WNSW, Victoria, SA, Tasmania and WA. We have volunteers in all these areas waiting to be of service. 15.01.2022 Unfortunately in Stage 9 of Dakar 2021 Toby suffered a fall around the 155km mark and required medical attention. Team mate Sam Sunderland and Ricky Brabec stopped to assist Toby for around 15-minutes before the Doctors arrived and he was airlifted to the hospital in Tabuk. Confirmed to have suffered a broken collarbone and extensive bruising, sadly Toby can take no further part in this year’s event. #Dakar2021 #thebikersguideaustralia #tobyprice

W...e know that some people are concerned about the Corona Virus. If you are concerned, we urge you to make your own decision about whether or not you attend our 1 Dayer. You should do your own research on this topic, but here is some basic information for you about what you can do to minimise the risk of infection. Cold and Flu (and Corona Virus) Prevention: First, please dont panic. The advice we have is that the Cold, the Flu, and the Corona Virus are all "droplet" transmitted - meaning they are not airborne. So transmission happens through: -contact - for example, shaking someones hand, then at some point touching your nose, mouth, or rubbing your eyes. -being close to someone when they sneeze or cough without covering their mouth. The Helmet Doctors, who developed the helmet laser scanner say it would give riders peace of mind that their helmet is safe to use after a drop or crash, or whether it needs to be replaced. They plan to test their service first in South East Queensland. If the project is successful, they hope to extend the service to other states and overseas.

03.01.2022 Please be advised that the Old Iron Classic Motorcycle Show & Swap Meet has been cancelled due to the Coronavirus Pandemic. Morally we thought this best thing t...o do rather than expose a large number of people to risk of infection.....decision made easier as Government Direction has now seen large public events banned. A lot of work and preparation has gone into this event however the Vintage Motorcycle Club of WA has a duty of care to its members and the Public to minimise exposure to the virus. The Old Iron Classic Motorcycle Show and Swap Meet will be re-scheduled when conditions permit. See more
