25.01.2022 There’s just 3 days to go until the East Coast Tassie 300km Charity Bike Ride begins, thanks to #25000Spins and our awesome riders who chose to support #Bikes4Life. Meet one of our riders, Giacomo, who needs more support to make him eligible for the ride! We asked Giacomo and our other riders 5 questions so you can get to know a bit about each of them... A link to donate is below. ... Giacomo Rafaghello Q Giacomo, this is your 2nd ride for Bikes 4 Life, so what is it about 25000 Spins rides that keep you coming back for more? A Yes it is my second ride. Two main reasons for coming back : great opportunity to support the good cause of bikes 4 life, great to see new places cycling. Q Have you trained or are you going to wing it? A I’m not a regular cyclist so I’m going to wing it Q What is your favourite meal after a ride? A Probably big bowl of pasta Q We understand you work for ANZ and it can get quite stressful at times, does cycling take your mind off things? A It’s great to have some time off work even if cycling long distances can be also quite painful if you not trained. Q Longest you have ever ridden in one day and where? A Probably the first day of the last event from Geelong to Apollo Bay. 07.01.2022 Let us introduce Brenden, he's another rider supporting #Bikes4Life and riding the #25000spins Tassie Ride. Why not join us next year or the next #25000spins adventure on the calendar for 2018!? Heaps of fun to be had and great experiences to be shared by all. Ride on!! 1. Brenden, is this is your first ride with 25000spins? How did you hear about it and why did you choose Bikes 4 Life as your charity?... - A friend told me about 25,000 spins a few years ago this is my 3rd ride with them. I have chosen to support a different charity each year so far, however what attracted me to support Bikes 4 Life is that it is volunteer based, provides practical help to those in need and recycles old bikes instead of them being chucked. 2. Have you trained or are you going to wing it? - Winged it once, never again 3. What is your favourite meal after a ride? - Fresh vegie/ginger juice then blended (soaked overnight) almonds and sunflower seeds with fresh apple & a bit of water. 4. Longest you have ever ridden in one day and where? 200km (twice) when I was a teenager helping mates fundraise for a fly and build to Solomon islands 5. What is your favourite film of all time? - Hmmm a river runs through it is one of my favourites, cold mountain and chocolate are also good. https://25000spinstassieeastcoast2018.gofundraise.com.au// #TeamBikes4Life #RiderProfiles #25000spins #Bikes4LifeTassie #CyclingChallenge #Fundraise Teamwork makes the Dream work! 04.01.2022 In loving memory of Milos Miladinovic, 1952 - 2018. A true gentleman through and through, thank you for your kindness, your service and your never ending support to others who are less fortunate and to the Bikes 4 Life family. We couldn’t believe our luck that you chose us, to devote your energy to a cause that is bigger than yourself. We will be forever indebted to you for starting the Brisbane chapter of Bikes 4 Life. You were the first person to write newsletters to your ...community support group and I had wanted to get this off the ground for such a long time, thank you Milos for showing us the way. It is such a privilege and honour to have worked with you on many big projects. It always made me happy when I opened up your update reports with these words as the first sentence for every report: Bikes 4 Life has consumed my life working 100 hours/month. You will always be the benchmark Milos. What a legacy you have achieved, your hard work and dedication inspires us everyday. You lived your life with passion, we will do the same. Rest easy now Milos. Love Ebony and the Bikes 4 Life family
