23.01.2022 Recent online tutorials on polishing the Proto-Pasta Metal-Fill filaments are making the brass, bronze, iron and stainless-steel (pictured) increasingly popular!

22.01.2022 The Inventor 2 SE (Special Edition) 3D Printer by Bilby 3D (Australia) in conjunction with Micro Swiss (USA), and Flashforge. This 3D Printer was designed especially for education, with reduced maintenance than the standard Flashforge printers, and the amazing MicroSwiss all metal hot end fitted so it is ready to print ProtoPasta metal filaments straight out of the box. It was selected by the NSW Education Department to be used in their Stem.T4L borrowing system, and has travelled around the state from school to school for nearly 2 years; showing just how robust it really is!

20.01.2022 Testing out the FlashForge AD1 3D printer in the Clayton Store. This machine is highly specialised with simple software for creating light channels for the signwriting industry. Interesting 600mm square print bed, with 4 heating zones, but only 70mm high! Interesting 2 into 1 extruder design with a very short linear rail. Despite what the box says about using a special type of PLA, we printed with Bilby3D PLA, PETG and Flex filaments, with great join adhesion when printing flex on top of either PLA or PETG.

18.01.2022 Melbourne, it's been a long 3 months, but you've made it to the other side just in time to 3D print through to Christmas. Our Clayton showroom is now open again, and we welcome you within Covid safe practices. What's new instore? FlashForge Creator 3, Creator Pro2 IDEX and the extra large Modix Big60

18.01.2022 Sadly the time has come for us to close our showrooms to limit the spread of Covid-19. The doors will close on 5pm this Friday 27th. We will still be dispatching for delivery to your door. For urgent 3D printing supplies and 3D printer repairs, please phone your nearest store on their direct line to discuss arrangements.

15.01.2022 The new Raise3D E2 is only for Europe Educational customers right now, but it's a great addition to the Raise line-up. Somewhat smaller, and definitely more portable. We have done 100+ hours of printing on our test machine (which is now on display in our Clayton store) and found it shares the reliability, durability and print quality of the larger Pro2 series. Big additions are the dual independant extruders (IDEX), advanced bed mapping and flexible magnetic bed, making prin...t removal a breeze. Hoping to have them for Australia and New Zealand before XMas

Please adhere to the health advise and be assured we are wiping down high contact areas regularly through out the day. We still strongly encourage online and phone ordering, and no cash if possible. Keep Well and Keep Making!

15.01.2022 Proto-Pasta in the USA is known for their consistant, quality 3D Printing filament. Their metal-filled filament has many uses. Magnetic Iron has so much metal it can be rusted for an aged effect (sand away the plastic to expose the metal particles), Magnets stick to it, and of course you can use it to create magnetic fields! Bilby 3D has 500g spools and 125g sample coils in stock

15.01.2022 We printed this in Bilby3D white PLA then the moon city was hand painted, then the back and domes had silver leaf applied.

14.01.2022 GJ Plastics's Graham Croston, was originally a keen hobbyist of 3D printing. Check out our new case about this story below! https://www.raise3d.com/case/gj-plastics/

09.01.2022 Available for pre-order at Bilby3D are the Modix range of Big 3D Printer Kits. We spent around 3 days putting together a Big60 - the base machine in the range is the Big60 with a 60x60x60cm build volume. They come with quality parts such as the DuetWifi mainboard and E3D Titan Extruder. We got the enclosure kit, second print head, Z-linear rails and castor wheel options for our demo machine - which you can see printing in our Melbourne showroom. These machines are designed to... be hacked and modified to your needs. This is where the known, quality components make it easy, with a huge community around them. For instance, we've already setup a webcam and RasPi with Octoprint (sadly no camera functionality on the DuetWifi) to add a camera feed to the Big-60's controlling webpage, using easy instructions found online. The Modix3D range currently includes the Big-60, The Big-120X (think 2 machines siamesed together) and the Big-120Z (twice as tall). Coming in late August will be the 180X and Big-Meter! 09.01.2022 : Skeptical attitudes towards additive technologies are not so rare. They say industrial machines that can be really helpful are very expensive, and the rest of the available equipment will only work for printing household items or childrens toys. The experience of 2050.AT a division of the largest Russian manufacturer of railway equipment proves this idea wrong. https://www.raise3d.com//the-first-russian-3d-farm-is-sav/
