Shir...ley is a world-renowned Gija artist and Kimberley Elder, famous for her rich ochre paintings. The book tells her life story in both Gija and English. We are looking for Language coordinators in ALL languages. ... What does a Language Coordinator do? You’ll be the Liaison person between the organisation and your community. You’ll be the contact person for new arrivals in WA to let them know what activities, products and services are available in their language. You’ll help organise events (with the support of our Events Coordinator) so people can gather and connect. You’ll work directly with our Language Coordinator Exraordinaire and be part of a fabulous creative and fun team who makes things happen! You’ll be best suited for this role if you like talking on the phone, hanging out with people, checking out new places in WA, organising things and if you have at least a couple of hours a week to dedicate to the role. This is a part time- volunteer position. If this sounds like you, get in touch!

03.01.2022 Last night we held another one of our popular Workshops How to Raise Bilingual Children’ at Cambridge Library We had parents and Carers from Spain, Zimbabwe, the UK, Sudan, Ecuador, Germany and Switzerland. Everyone left with hands on tools that they can implement right now with their children to ensure they maintain their home (minority) language. Connections were made and we’ll follow up with regular parent catch ups for more support!...
