24.01.2022 The Connection between Mind and Immune Competency Two systems keep your body healthy throughout your lifethe nervous system and the immune system. They interact to maintain healthy organs, as well as protect your body from toxic chemicals, invading pathogens, various environmental conditions, cancer cells, and physical injuries. These systems are assisted by adequate sleep, consistent daily movement, and access to certain micro nutrition. The study of the interactions betwee...n the nervous system and the immune system is called psychoneuroimmunology. The brain is the centre of the nervous system, and it communicates with the immune system through the autonomic nerves and the production of messager hormone chemicals (endocrine system). In humans, the major endocrine glands are the thyroid gland and the adrenal glands. The immune system generates communicating chemicals (cytokines) to feed back to the nervous system. This bidirectional communication interweaves the brain function with the immune system, and provides the foundation for human behaviour, thoughts, and emotions to influence immune system competency. Positive thoughts, emotions, words and actions that generate the positive emotions of love and joy and lift self-definition, are able to lift immune competency. On the other hand, negative thoughts, negative emotions, words and actions that lower self-definitions, suppress immune competency. Individual thoughts, emotions, words and actions are thus biologically meaningful, because over time they influence the development and progression of immunologically mediated disease processes such as cancer, autoimmune diseases, allergies, poor organ function, premature ageing and disease states. Specific spinal and jaw corrective exercises that free up both pathways of the autonomic nervous system, assist neuro-immune communication. Put the frozen berries, citrus juice, and water in a food processor/blender and purée! 2. If you want to remove the seeds just strain the purée through a strainer and into a sauce pan. 3. Heat the purée on medium-low, you don’t want to reduce it too much, and slowly add the gelatin. 4. Stir, stir, stir. It might take a while for all the gelatin to dissolve. 5. Once almost all of the gelatin is dissolved, stir in the maple syrup or raw honey. 6. Once the gelatin is completely dissolved, take the saucepan off the heat. Let it cool a bit until it’s able to be handled- but still pretty hot. 7. Pour the gelatin into a mold and let it set in the refrigerator for 1 to 1 1/2 hours. 8. Pop or cut out your gummies! 9. Eat your delicious, healthy, gut-healing and beautifying gelatin gummies!! (Store them in the fridge.) See more

The Paleo diet is an excellent choice for anyone with ailing health as it remove junk food and grains, which, I know from my years in the clinic are the biggest challenge for a weakened immune system. ... The 'experts' who push back about removing food groups -like grains and sugar (?!) are simply scaremongering - perhaps if they dared to try it for a short time they might see the benefits for themselves! 13.01.2022 I was listening to some wonderful teachings from the lovely Kisma Orbovich this morning ...talking about energy and vibrations and food. And this is essential to know and a great way to think about your body - and how you are treating it! YOU are energy and so consider the foods you put into your body also have vibrations, a frequency...what are you choosing - high vibrational foods or low? Do you choose foods that resonate with your body or conflict with it? Do you choose fo...ods that fuel your body in a harmonic way or send your body into a cacophony? Interesting thing to ponder, yes? For example, processed sugars, refined foods, grains etc can (and in most people, will) cause a disruption in your body. A non-harmonic low vibration - also know that your immune system communicates using bio-photopic resonance...think about what happens to your body's key communication system when you are putting 'stuff' into it that causes dis-harmony and dis-ease... 11.01.2022 Dairy free and low sugar chocolate mousse on the dessert menu for Christmas lunch tomorrow: -50g dark chocolate -4 large eggs, separated -3 tablespoons Natvia... -1 tablespoon gelatine granules -2 tablespoons warm water for blooming the gelatine. Beat egg whites with 1 tablespoon of Natvia until firm peaks form. Begin melting dark chocolate with 1 tablespoon of Natvia in a steel bowl over a pot of hot water. Bloom the gelatine - in a small bowl mix the gelatine powder with two tablespoons warm water. Stir out any lumps and let sit. Beat the egg yolks with 1 tablespoon of Natvia until smooth and creamy. Put the bloomed gelatine into the melting chocolate and stir well with a steel spoon (make sure it's over a gentle heat). Then give it a quick beat with the electronic beater. Add the melted chocolate and gelatine mixture to the beaten egg yolks and beat for a minute with the electric beater. Add the chocolate and yolk mixture to the egg whites and fold in with a spoon or on a low speed with electric beater. Pour into serving bowls and chill for an hour. This mousse can also be made with lemons (orange and limes). Juice one lemon and heat gently with Natvia and add bloomed gelatine and mix then add to eggs in same order as chocolate recipe.

08.01.2022 If you have a belief about something that is strong enough - it doesn't matter what is actually happening you won't be able to see it. This may be a good thing..but most often our unconscious rules and beliefs may just be blocking out all the 'good stuff' in your life. If all you start to see is that someone is lazy - then that is all you will see. If you believe a place you are in is ugly, then you will not be able to see any beauty. If someone is doing good things for you a...nd you don't believe you are worthy, or deserving of those - you won't see what they give no matter what they do. Everyday in every way we need to cleanse the lens through which we look.

06.01.2022 Half day raja yoga workshop in Canberra on Saturday 4 August. Bill Giles will be teaching specific breathing techniques to access yoga and experience the kundalini, and feel it's effects. Bill will teach all the steps towards this with Mudras - particularly with the use of the eyes and the tongue, and the 5 Bandhas.

We tell ourselves 'it didn't work' and we wait for the next course/program/book or whatever to try...truth is everyone slips up - in life, with foods, with words - all the time - the difference is whether you choose to get back on track or whether you use that as the excuse to give up. Remember, its not about perfection - its about progress. If you fall over, have a little cry, then grab your big girls pants and keep going.

Rather ill health occurs when internal or external environmental conditions shift either too far or too fast for the immune system to adapt, reducing its ability to self-heal.

02.01.2022 We all know this... Pump iron consistently - build bigger muscles. Run 10kms every day - get fitter. Eat the 'wrong' food all the time - lose health. Let negative thought patterns run riot - feel bad.... Make 10 sales calls consistently - make more sales. Ignore sales call consistently - make less sales! Normally we think of the action's we have to take to change something (good start) ...but ALSO consider what consistent actions are you taking every day, right now...especially if you are where you don't want to be, not the weight you want to be, feeling a way you don't want to feel...what are you doing consistently to get that way? And maybe the first change you need to make is to stop doing one thing consistently.
