25.01.2022 Always pleased to see our customers happy. Thank you for your business!
24.01.2022 Thank you all for your patience over the last week. We have been running flat out to get water to everyone day and night and in doing so, we have cracked the million Litres for the week, we are still going today and will be working long into tonight. As of our first load today we had done 1,008,000 Litres. By the end of today we expect it to be at around 1,120,000 Litres or over 90 loads of water for this week. ... That’s despite having lost over half a day to a breakdown and having to deliver loads to as far away as Brooweena and Bauple. Remember, we will always get to you if you are out of water, it may be 5am, or 10 at night by the time we get there, but we will always get to you. We do not have a limit of how many deliveries we will do in a day, we deliver until we have done all the loads that are booked in. Thank you to those who are happy to accept water early in the morning or late at night. There are only so many hours in a day, so some deliveries are outside normal hours due to necessity. If you are out of water, the quickest way to contact us is via phone. You can also txt us and we will get back to you as soon as we can. The phone rings off the hook some days, so if we don’t answer, we are probably on the phone or ringing someone back, please keep trying or wait for us to return your call. Have a great weekend guys!
22.01.2022 It seems that some of the dark clouds that have been hanging about have finally come through for some areas. Despite the welcome rain, in some areas it was too little to do much for the level of water in some people’s tanks. We are finding quite a lot of people getting caught off guard with empty tanks. Despite some areas getting rain fall amounts of up to 150mm, a lot of areas got a lot less or missed out entirely.... So even if you did get some much needed rain, please remember to keep and eye on the tank levels to try and minimise your risk of running completely out of water. As always, we will always get to those who are needing water desperately, but it’s much better for us (and you!) if you are not finding yourself completely out of water and we can schedule you in without having to juggle things around to accommodate and your not having to go without much needed water.
21.01.2022 Despite the black clouds looming over parts of the wide bay, it seems like we may not get much out of it. It’s also that time again, where we are finding the dry weather is catching people off guard and lots of people are finding themselves completely out of water. So we just want to take the opportunity to remind people to take a quick look in their tanks once or twice a week to keep an eye on water levels and order well in advance so we can make sure we can fit you in. ... If we don’t get any rain soon, then the trucks are going to be booked solid and it makes it hard to fit everyone in when there is only 24 hours in a day! So we once again thank you all for your patronage and hope we get a little relief from the dry spell soon.
19.01.2022 Billabong Water Cartage has misplaced one of our full pint adaptors as pictured. He had it at the Howard full pint yesterday so we believe it may have fallen off somewhere between the fill point, he turned left at the railway lines, went past the caravan park and turned left toward Burrum River. If anyone has it, has seen it or finds it, can you please let us know. ... Thank you.
16.01.2022 Just filling up at the Howard fill station for (hopefully) the last load for the day! And patting the resident pony who lives next door and comes to say hello each time, friendly little fella
15.01.2022 What a fantastic sight those black clouds were yesterday and for once, they delivered. Some areas were quite lucky and have received over 50mm, whereas other areas received very little or none. For those who received enough to get you through another week or so, don’t panic, we are working over the entire Christmas break. Please bear in mind that although we will deliver any Day, any time in an emergency, we prefer not to have our drivers working Christmas or New Year’s Day... unless it is absolutely necessary. We do understand things happen, tanks leak, pipes burst, kids leave taps on, so no matter how prepared you are, sometimes you just can’t foresee accidents so we will always get water to those who need it, regardless of the day or time. We have always absorbed the extra costs associated with delivering on weekends, public holidays and after hours delivery, however this year if we are required to do deliveries on Christmas or New Year’s Day, we will be charging a $50 surcharge on these days only. We thank you for your understanding on this, we will deliver any other day or time during the holiday period at no extra charge as we always do, the surcharge only applies to Christmas and New Year’s Day itself. We hoped you enjoyed the rain and we want to wish you and your family a very safe and happy Christmas and prosperous new year.
15.01.2022 Another enormous week for our delivery drivers. A whopping 1,104,000L delivered for the week. With only one 12,000L load done today, the majority of that was done in six days. A massive thank you to our dedicated drivers who do early starts, late finishes and who work days, nights and weekends to get the job done. ... With a massive number of bookings for next week already, if you are needing water, best to get in early to ensure we can get to you when you need us to! We hope everyone had a great weekend.
14.01.2022 With the current global situation that’s happening, Billabong Water Cartage want to assure it’s customers that we will continue to operate our essential services through this difficult period. We have made the decision to reduce our prices to assist those who are likely either doing it tough, or about to be. Our prices will temporarily be from $160 for 12,000L.... $160 will cover the local Hervey Bay Area, for the current price for other areas, please phone for a quote. To keep our employees and customers safe, we ask that you make payment over the phone with card, or leave cash in a position where the driver can sanitise it and collect it. We also ask that you leave sufficient instructions that you won’t need to come into contact with our staff. We hope none of our customers is too severely affected by the situation and look forward to working with you in the future.
13.01.2022 This is why there are such strict regulations with what water you can cart and what you can cart it in. We have seen water being sold locally being supplied in IBC’s. We have had customers let us know that they have been approached by people wanting them to buy water delivered to them in IBC’s. No matter how much you clean them, there’s never any guarantees that there is no contamination left behind. ... Please be very careful when buying water. Ensure your carrier is licensed, insured, complies with all regulations imposed on domestic water carries and is using a water tank labelled for domestic water. If the tank is not labeled with stickers indicating it’s for domestic water and the water carriers license number, then it may not suitable for domestic use and should not be used for that purpose. With the weather heating up and no sign of rain on the horizon, buying water can become a financial burden at times, but cutting costs by purchasing from unlicensed water carriers may cost you a lot more in the long run.
11.01.2022 The dry spell looks to have set in and there doesn’t seem to be any significant relief in the near future. Our trucks are running into the night again to get water to those who are out of water and being caught out. It’s easy done, life tends to distract you and the last thing you think of is giving the tank a good tap to see how empty it is.... When people are out of water, we would love to say we will be there within the hour, but the reality is that we are booked so solid that we will get to you same day, but it may not be until late. We thank you for your patience and your custom and just want to take the opportunity to remind you, if you haven’t tapped your tank this week, now is as good a time as any!
09.01.2022 The water trucks are out and about again this weekend to get much needed water to residents on our Fraser coast. As frustrating as it is to have to buy water for such an extended period of time, we just wanted to remind everyone how important it is to have adequate water in your tanks and to keep checking them regularly. This is not only to ensure your family and animals have enough water to sustain everyone, but with the fires that have been popping up around the place, the ...last thing we would want to see is someone who desperately needs water as they are running low or are out and there are fires nearby and we can’t get to them to help. Without adequate water, trying to prepare your property for bushfires is much more difficult. Please ensure you have adequate water stores as well as remembering to clear debris from your property and trying to keep fuel like leaf litter and branches clear from around your home and sheds. Stay safe everyone and again we thank you all for your continued business.
07.01.2022 Well yet again, there is No relief from the dry weather in sight. Our trucks are running past midnight again to get water to those who need it. We have bookings well into next week at this stage, but as usual, we will always get to you same day if you are out. It’s much easier for us to get to everyone if we can have bookings made a day or two in advance, so we just want to remind everyone to check their tanks and order before it gets low enough to run out.
07.01.2022 Well it seems like it’s finally being delivered! At least this time it looks like no one is missing out and the rain is widespread. Lots of dams looking healthier and tanks filling up. ... This means a well earned break for our drivers and a chance to catch up on some TLC for our trucks that have been running flat out for months. We hope everyone is enjoying the rain and that we can get enough consistent rain to get the grass growing around the place and keep it that way for a while, having to buy feed and water has been a burden on a lot of people for a long time and im certain a small reprieve is very welcome. We thank you very much for your continued business and sincerely hope you enjoy the rain
06.01.2022 Well the weather certainly seems to be heating up and although a few areas got some scattered showers of late, tanks are still feeling it. Although we are not run off our feet, our truck is still running all day most days, so it still pays to try and book a day or two in advance if you can. Have a great weekend guys!
