Joey has been a stand out from birth and we would argue one of the best bulls we have bred. His is a long, strong bull with a beautiful head and tropical coat. He has plenty of bone and beef and a bomb proof temperament. He is from the 1st drop by G.I. (BB Winchester) whose sons averaged $38,000 and topped at $65,000 at the Droughtmaster National sale this year. His dam Minties 3rd, by our ever-consistent female breeder, Apollo, has produced 5 calves in 5 years, with all being stand outs. Her 1st bull calf was killed by dingoes, her 2nd son, IMAX was to be a sire in our herd but unfortunately died from snakebite. Joey’s younger brother, Billabong Knightly 114, featured in our show team at Beef 2021 and will be in our 2022 national sale team. Oakmore Quade (PP) Sire: Oakmore Kadir(P) Dam: Billabong Ally(P) Quade aka 'Greg' was purchased at the 2018 National Sale for $15,000 and we have been very impressed with his calves to date. His calves are presenting a lot of character and strength. 2 daughters from his 1st drop are selling this weekend, with 4 of his daughters having already sold privately averaging $7250 topping at $10,000.

10.01.2022 What a week! now that we're home and have finally processed the National sale results we would like to give our sincerest thanks to everyone for buying, bidding and viewing our bulls at the sale. This was a run that we were very excited to present and it was incredibly overwhelming to see the enthusiasm from our fellow breeders for them. Both the Billabong and Billabong-JC run sold with 100% clearance for an overall average of $14,944 for 18 bulls. Highlights: LOT 25- JEDI ...sold for $65,000 to Cliff Mylrea and Sasha Smith, Needmor Stud LOT 337- JC-JUBILEE sold for $40,000 to Greg & Linda Nugent, Carnudge Stud LOT 339- JC-JONAH sold for $26,000 to Aston Price, AP Stud. Thank you to all buyers of our bulls, we wish you all the best with your purchases, thank you also to all underbidders who supported our runs. We loved catching up with everyone. Now its back to the paddocks watching out for our 2023 sale bulls hitting the ground now.

07.01.2022 The National Female sale is over for another year... We were very happy with our girls and its great to see that they all went to such good homes. Our 8 girls averaged $5250 Topping at $10,000 for Billabong Alice 9380 selling to the Webber Family, Tajana Stud, who also purchased Billabong Shazam 9382. Thank you also to G & S Harms, Oakmore Stud, Jake Thompson, True Blue J Stud, A & P Gibbons, Stonebridge Stud, Todd Heyman, K Shields and R Upchurch, Kirala Stud, and the Springs family, Kiverton stud for purchasing from our run. Sire: Fairhaven 99/5(P) Dam: Billabong Shelby 4th 2642(P) 'Gary' was the result of an AI program we did to bring back some our our older tried and true genetics in our female lines. Being by the great Fairhaven 99/5 and grandsired by our own Rockafellar, Gary has proven to be a highly productive addition to the herd being mated to females at 17mths of age. His progeny are what we were hoping for with his females showing all the traits we loved in our 99/5 daughters, feminine, soft, well structured animals.
