25.01.2022 Wishing you all a Hippety Hoppy Happy Easter from all of us here at Billabong Farm!! (No animals where harmed in the making of this Easter greeting, but several were mightily embarrassed!)

21.01.2022 Amongst our collection of poultry we have about a dozen gorgeous Indian Runner Ducks. We keep them primarily for bug and slug control, for which they are excellent, but it doesnt hurt that they are very cute as well ;-) Last season they bred so successfully that we have quite a few 4 to 6 month olds for sale. They are a variety of colours as you can see in the pics. Message us if you are interested. We can deliver to some parts of Sydney.

20.01.2022 One of our gorgeous Maremma Puppies. You can check out more of them on our Glasswater Maremma Sheepdogs page. https://www.facebook.com/Glasswater.Maremmas

19.01.2022 There is something very satisfying about harvesting a heap of honey and then ‘jarring’ it up to go into the Christmas hampers. Looks like we may still have quite a bit left over to sell once Santa has been. Many thanks to our busy bees!

18.01.2022 Our new baby Maremma Sheepdog puppies are three weeks old and growing like weeds. If you think you would like one please feel free to message us or check out more pics on our Maremma Page https://www.facebook.com/Glasswater.Maremmas/

16.01.2022 If you have seen this already on another page, Im sorry, we are just desperately trying to get it out there to as many people as possible. So if you could find it in your heart to share this we would be very grateful.

16.01.2022 Perfect start to spring... the sound of pipping from the incubator, heralding the arrival of a brand new gosling! My goose abandoned a nest some weeks ago after a massive rain storm, so I gathered up the eggs on the off chance that they might still be viable, so Im very excited about the new baby. Have to wait and see how many others hatch. It might not look like much now but when it dries off properly it will be about as cute as things get!

16.01.2022 If you think you or somebody you know may own this lovely looking girl please get in touch. She has been spotted wondering around the bottom of Macquarie Pass.

15.01.2022 We havent had much luck yet this year with hatching any Indian Runner ducks so we have collected up a bucket of eggs and put them in the incubator fingers crossed for a minor duck plague in about 4 weeks!

15.01.2022 Baby Eclectus Parrots for sale: Meet B1 and B2, hatched on the 17th and 21st of March respectively. They are male eclectus parrots and have been lovingly hand raised. They are now 9 weeks old and starting to crack seed for themselves but wont be ready to go to their new homes until they are properly weaned. However, we are taking expressions of interest now. They are both very loving and love a cuddle and a scratch. When they are ready we can deliver to most parts of the greater Sydney area or you can pick up from Buxton. Message us if you want more information or if you think you might be the right home for one of our baby boys.

14.01.2022 We have puppies!! Eight healthy little cuties have decided to grace us with their presence. We are taking enquiries from prospective owners. If you think you would like to be one, please message us.

13.01.2022 Tis true you should never count them before they hatch! Unfortunately, power outages, due largely to inclement weather, wreaked havoc on our incubator so we didnt end up with the overflow of ducklings we were expecting. But we did manage to hatch a few, including this little one that keeps falling asleep in its feed bowl ;-) They are a few weeks old now so if you are looking for a runner duck or two message us now before we advertise them elsewhere.

12.01.2022 For some, retail therapy means new shoes, clothes or a handbag. For me its two goats and a tractor! Meet Dottie and Belinda (the tractor doesnt have a name.. yet) They are young Anglo-Nubians and are destined to provide milk for making goat cheese (when they grow up). In the mean time they spend most of their time frolicking, getting cuddles, eating, playing or loudly demanding more cuddles. Tough work being a goat!

12.01.2022 Our lovely Jersey House Cow, Serina, with a day old calf.

11.01.2022 Ferocious stock guardian, Poopy, receives new teddy and promptly drops into a deep sleep, and likely dreams of chasing down foxes and wild dogs.

10.01.2022 Baby birds grow up so fast! B1 and B2 (our baby eclectus parrots) are pretty much fully feathered now and B1 actually took his first flight today!! Of the two of them he is the more adventurous, always the first to try new toys or new food and the first to jump out of the cage onto my shoulder at every opportunity. I think he will be a great pet for somebody that wants to teach lost of tricks ;-) B2 on the other hand is a bit more careful about things. He takes a bit longer to trust new toys and generally lets his brother try new food first but he is the snuggle bunny of the pair. I think he would curl up under my chin and stay there all day if I let him... shame it is hard to get things done with a bird on your chest! If you are interested in either of these gorgeous boys, feel free to message us.

09.01.2022 I think baby goats are just the cutest things and amazing too. This little fellow is only minutes old, not even dry yet, and he is already standing up and even having a (very) small frolic! All under the watchful eye of our camera shy, old man maremma. The mum here is Bambi, she is just about my favourite goat ever, but dont tell the others ;-)

09.01.2022 It’s that time of year again! The time when we do our best to embarrass as many of our critters as we can. Well, at least as many of the ones that will stand still! Wishing you and yours a very Merry Christmas and a joyfully bounteous New Year!

09.01.2022 Have you ever tried to persuade a goose to stay clean for a photo? I have, with limited success! Anyway these guys are for sale. They range from 16 to 20 weeks and are from three of the girls in our small mixed flock. They are $45 each. If you’d like some, let us know!

06.01.2022 Bit soggy roud these parts today. This was the view out the kitchen window at lunch time and yep, thats water where there is normally... um... land! I would start building an ark if I could just find some gopher wood and work out where I left my cubit!

05.01.2022 "Could somebody please tell my mother that it is bad for my Maremma cred when she makes me come in out of the rain and dries me with the fluffy towel!"

02.01.2022 There is something very satisfying about harvesting a heap of honey and then jarring it up to go into the Christmas hampers. Looks like we may still have quite a bit left over to sell once Santa has been. Many thanks to our busy bees!

01.01.2022 Hi! I’m Miesha, Rae’s partner, assistant, hobby farmer and web developer! I’ve been in Oz for just over a year and have spent every day working with the animals at Billabong. I’m so in love! I’ve hand raised 6 baby goats and a couple of geese in my time here and have tons of amazing memories. Up until now I’ve posted mostly to my own Facebook page, but now I’m going to begin posting here! I’m looking forward to this new chapter.
