25.01.2022 Happy International Zookeeper Day! At Billabong Zoo we have a passionate team that strive to do their very best for the species they work with. Zookeeping for many isn't just a job or a career, it is a passion and a lifestyle. Our zookeepers live and breathe what they do. And we here at Billabong Zoo are forever grateful for the amazing work our team do for conservation, education and enlisting passion in our visitors to make a difference!

20.01.2022 THROWBACK THURSDAY! Remember when Kiros, Nuru and Zoraya were this little? This pic was taken two years ago! Now they’re all grown up and are celebrating their 2nd birthday this Monday! ... You can come visit these not-so-small anymore cuties any day of the week between 9am - 5pm. You can help celebrate their birthday by joining the #onecupforacause challenge, where you can simply forfeit one cup of store-bought coffee every month and put towards the cause to help improve the lives of lions. For more info on how to get involved and to donate, visit the Kevin Richardson Foundation, which aims to protect lions and their habitats. https://kevinrichardsonfoundation.org/onecupforacause/

19.01.2022 If your goal this year was to help make a difference, you can do just that by Adopting A Koala. This will assist us in raising funds for our World Renowned Koala Breeding Program. Your generosity will help provide homes, food and medical care. https://billabong-zoo.myshopify.com/

19.01.2022 One of the biggest questions we get asked, is when can we see Shrek the monster croc? Answer: any time of the day when you come to visit the zoo. While we aren't holding our regular zoo talks or presentations at the moment to remain Covid-Safe, you can still catch him in the Jurassic Pond, and if you happen to be around when the keepers are feeding him, they'll happily answer your questions.

19.01.2022 There's still time to do that last minute Christmas dash, with our gift shop stocked full with goodies.
