24.01.2022 This year's National Reconciliation Week marks twenty years of shaping Australia’s journey towards a more just, equitable and reconciled nation between the broader Australian community, our First Nations people and Torres Strait Islander peoples. BLP intensely support Reconciliation Australia in championing unity, mutual respect and connection. Pictured: Recently with our Art Strategy group for Campbelltown Hospital Redevelopment, we undertook a bush walk through the Dharawa...l National Park led by Aunty Deidre Martin, a Walbanga woman of the Yuin nation and an Aboriginal Discovery Ranger with the NSW National Parks & Wildlife Service. The prime purpose of this walk was to investigate local indigenous medicinal plants, to be incorporated into the hospital art strategy. #NRW2020 #Australia #Togetherness #Community #InThisTogether2020

12.01.2022 This week is @dementia_australia Action Week. This disease affects close to half a million Australians. That number is set double in the next 25 years. Many Australians will start experiencing the impact of dementia amongst their own family and friends in the coming years. Action Week has been developed to clear up misconceptions that lead to judgements by the community about the capacity of a person living with dementia.Such beliefs can lead to significant discrimination... against people living with dementia. Our challenge as architects is to design dementia specific residences that can suit all residents living with dementia. Given that dementia is a progressive disorder and affects people in different ways, the approach to needs to be varied and flexible so it caters to this broader cohort. Our design strives to put people first, to nurture a safe and secure, balanced, healthy and motivated life that everybody has a right to live. 04.01.2022 Let's make the future of work flexible, collaborative and rejuvenating. We were given the exciting opportunity to significantly update the entrance lobby of CLA Real Estate, in North Sydney. Our response was to create a bespoke, expansive and highly flexible internal environment, utilised as a hub for collaboration, networking and relaxation. The new design converts what was once a high-use thoroughfare into a series of stylish and modifiable spaces for meetings, training, solo work, and after hours events. . . #workspace #interiors #interiordesign #commercial #commercialinteriors #workplacedesign #environmentsforwellbeing #wellbeingatwork #Billardleece #BLP #BillardLeecePartnership

DOT has been great platform for open and honest conversations and feedback across both Sydney and Melbourne studios. New ideas and different perspectives have been shared by architectural graduates to sector leaders and directors. Looking forward to tonight's DOT session!
