06.01.2022 Drought. In times like these we have to make tough decisions. Decisions which we may in the future say, ‘that was a good call selling those cows and calves’ or ‘I wish we had kept those breeders’. We don't usually sell cows and calves but these aren't usual times. ... So with regret on Friday 10 August through Auctions Plus we are selling 37 beautiful cows and their 37 beautiful calves. The cows are proven breeders, in great condition and extremely quiet. They have had a live calf every year and have done a fantastic job raising them. 03.01.2022 Today instead of going to the gym I did a workout in grassy gully paddock. It entailed chipping out Bathurst burs bought down in the flood. The flood was wonderful for the old trees along the river they have sprouted new growth and look refreshed. We didn’t receive the rain on farm that some were lucky enough to receive upstream but our flood plains are growing great grass that are keeping our cows happy. Looking for more rain.
