They have worked out how to fly even though they don’t use their wings in the usual way so whatever obstacle may be presented to us , we can always find another way. 23.01.2022 Happy Monday everyone Monday night is beginner night. It’s never too late to strap on those dance shoes. You can have lots of fun while learning to dance amongst like minded people. There is no age gap on the floor. Our medalists are all training hard for the assessment on Sunday 1st December. Everyone is welcome to attend on the day to see what the medal system involves and perhaps join our new class commencing first term 2020.... Vivaz shoes from Sydney will have a display of shoes for sale on the day. If you would like some new shoes this is a great opportunity to grab a pair or two. Our social Dance Friday nights is always lots of fun too. Lots of dancing, socialising and supper thrown in all for $8.00 pp. Everyone is welcome The General class on Friday is focusing on Tango & Rumba this term. Correct technique rather than lots of steps is a great way to perfect these styles. If you already know some steps this is the class for you. See you all soon.

20.01.2022 Welcome to 2019. We are both busy making sure we commence the year with something for everyone. We offer beginner and general classes (for those who already know some dances) medal/technique classes (not everyone chooses to be examined for their medal, but technique is important) and private lessons. Bill is ready to start private lessons this week, so if arrangements have not already been made, please contact us for availability. Classes will commence on Monday 4th Februa...ry with the beginners class at 7.15. (This will be the only beginner class each week) Tuesday’s at 4.15 we hold a student class for those 5 - 16 years. Active Kids Vouchers will be accepted once again this year for any school aged child. Tuesday evenings at 7.00 Silver Star Ballroom medal class and 8.15 for Silver Latin American medal class Friday 6.00pm Bronze Ballroom medal class Friday 7.15 General class (for those who can dance a bit) Practice/social 8.30pm until 11.00pm. Supper is included in the price of the social. Everyone is welcome to any or all. If there is something else you would like to learn, let us know and we will see if we can fit it in to the program.

17.01.2022 Bill & Sue along with the committee and Lake Macquarie Council have taken steps to ensure all users of Teralba Community Hall have the correct facilities available for a safe and healthy community. We would suggest that you bring your own hand sanitiser if possible. Own drink bottles and mugs. We would like to emphasise that hugging/ touching be limited. Especially with our most vulnerable members. ... Classes will run as normal at this stage. We welcome any questions or concerns. 14.01.2022 Great news We will be commencing our full program from July 20th. There must be COVID restrictions in place. Only people from the same household may dance together. Everyone else must learn and practise as individuals. Everyone must sign in and out and follow signage around the hall. ... Hand sanitiser will be freely available for your use Please bring your own water bottle & towel and any refreshments you may require. We are unable to provide these at this time Facilities rooms should not be used as a change room Class sizes at this stage will be limited to 20. It would be advisable to book ahead. This now means you can apply for both the Active Kids vouchers and the Creative Kids vouchers to use for their dancing tuition this year. If you have not already applied, now is the time to do so as classes will re-commence for our little (and not so little) people on the 5th February. Looking forward to seeing you all then.

Our kids will be presented with their medals tomorrow unless they are coming to the social on Friday night. Christmas Social / Friday 13th. Black & Bling is the theme this year. Dust off your Christmas bling and come join us for a fun filled evening. It’s wonderful to see how everyone has progressed this year and Bill & I thank you for your continu...ed support of our studio. Christmas competition- this Sunday at Wenty leagues. This is a fun day and we always enjoy the last competition of the year. 06.01.2022 As the dancing world tries to get back to normal those you have missed out on the last few months are enjoying their time back on the dance floor. Even with social distancing we still have places available in our classes. If you think you might like to brush off the cobwebs and try dancing now is the time. There will probably be no medal assessment scheduled for this year and the kids classes are going to be trying all sorts of different dances. 05.01.2022 Mondays beginner class will run the first week of school holidays. Term 2 commences on 29th April. We have had great success with our beginners and we all look forward to learning new dances next term. Fridays technique class has proved to be a positive move. We all know lots of dances but when you want to move from social dancing to implementing the correct technique it becomes much more satisfying and surprisingly much easier. Private lessons can help also if you are consi...dering joining the competition field or just want to improve your technique. We at Bill’s Ballroom, have a wealth of experience and knowledge of current styles and trends. We will be holding our regular classes on Friday followed by the social evening. Hope to see you there. 05.01.2022 Only two more weeks before our medal assessment on December 1st. Everyone is working so hard and I’m sure will achieve the results they are looking for. During the day Vivaz shoes from Sydney will be set up in the Supper Room. If you are in need of a pair of shoes (or even if you’re not) make sure to come and have a look at their display. They will be there from 10.00 am - 3.00 pm. Our Christmas social on December 13th will be the last social of the year. Our medalists will receive their medals and reports during the evening. There will be lots of dancing and Christmas cheer throughout the evening. Classes will be running as usual until the 13th. See you all soon.

05.01.2022 Wishing you all a very happy Easter. We are currently having a short break and will see you all again in term 2 which starts on Monday 29th April. Beginners class commencing at 7.15. Medal classes continue as normal for term 2 with the medal assessment on Sunday June 23rd. The newly introduced technique class was a great success in term 1 and will continue on Fridays at 7.15pm in term 2 with new dances to work on. This is followed by the social commencing at 8.30pm. This is... a great time to practice your routines or just come along and dance the night away. Supper is included. Kids classes will resume on Tuesday 30th April. Don’t forget if you haven’t used your Active Kids or Creative Kids vouchers bring the details with you so you can take advantage of this incentive to commence your child in this great activity. 05.01.2022 Competition : With competitions and medal assessments most unlikely this year the time is right for you to consider commencing training for early next year. For those of you who would like a future on the competition floor take the plunge and book regular private lessons. We would like to announce that we now have five qualified Dancesport coaches all ready to assist you. Medal classes :... We can create new medal classes for anyone wanting to train for them. We currently run Bronze New Vogue, Bronze Star, Silver & Gold Ballroom classes. We are looking to start a Bronze Latin class on Thursday evening for those that may be interested in joining the medal group. The medal classes concentrate on correct technique. Many people know to dance but it is the application of technique that brings your dancing to life. Kids class : The kids class on Tuesday is ready for new participants especially now we have extra coaches. Anyone aged 6-16 is welcome. Don’t forget Active/Creative Kids vouches are accepted at our studio. It won’t cost you a cent to try it out with your current vouchers.
