25.01.2022 Bring Back Summer Birthday Parties!!!

24.01.2022 Where’s Joel? (keep reading please) This is one of my photos from my 365 Project. I thought I could talk about the project and what I've learned during this year of photographing everyday. One of the biggest things I will be taking from it is to always have my camera close by. The best moments happen out of nowhere and usually there is no time to run and get the camera to capture it. I've managed to take photos of my boys' personalities and discoveries, and this I will t...reasure forever. My photographic style and eye has evolved dramatically as I experimented with different Points of View and techniques. I've learned a lot about editing and I'm not afraid to push my camera in difficult lighting situations. It was great for my Instagram engagement and Following as I was posting in my stories everyday and responding to lots of comments. In saying that, no, I didn't feel inspired to shoot everyday. Some days I had to force myself to create something, some days I only took a phone picture or video and yes I have skipped a handful of days when I really didn't feel like picking up the camera. The important thing for me was to recognise the good and what I wanted to remember from that day, it made me grateful for what I have. This was especially helpful during the crazy year we’ve had. Somehow it kept me going Now I will print a beautiful album that my kids will be able to look through and remember that in spite of what was going on in the world outside, our little family bubble was safe and full of love and laughter, it was all we needed after all See more

We always go to Perth then Margaret River and have the best time. I keep thinking if I’m struggling with this whole situation imagine people that already had a mental illness before this all started. Or people that lost loved ones, or their business, and the list goes on I have hope though. ... I hope you are all keeping well and safe and I’ll see you on the other side of this: where we would have learned that we are all one and have to go through this together, where we give value to the things that deserve value, where we respect each other’s differences and pick each other up
