25.01.2022 Spring has Sprung . I’m telling you the Grass isn’t Greener on the other side ! The place is looking like Pommie land ,the mower is overheating , The Roos are gettin lost and the bees are overdosing in there hundreds ! We’ve been busy out here with Birthday parties(20 guests only) Cyclists doing the Central West Trail , Campers from around the traps ,and an international 20/20 . Sorry Folks ..The school holidays are all booked out ,including the long weekend .. But can you believe it .. it’s time to start thinking about your Christmas Party !. Give us a call if you would like to organise a function or party .

24.01.2022 So it seems all this Wedding Talk has got the place buzzing .! Ive gone for a stroll this arvo to take a few more snaps of our amazing transformation to Greenery , only to stumble across this cute local couple in the long grass !..They proceeded to tell me it was their Sixty Second Wedding Anniversary! Yes 62 years ,and that they thought Billyo would be the most Romantic place ever to get married ....Maybe they will renew theyre vows .? Who knows ! So People if you want to be married as long as these two kids ..Cmon Get Married at Billyo!

24.01.2022 WATER ..is life out here ...and were all very excited to have a got a bit of the wet stuff recently.. its been 2 and half years since we have some decent rain .All 4 of our Dams out here are overflowing ,all our tanks full and our Bar fridge is chockers also( irrelevant I know).. Shower restrictions have been lifted from the old 30 seconds to the knew 47 seconds , and you are also allowed to have one cup of water a day between beers . Spirits have been lifted which resulted in some Dancing ,splashing and sloppin around in the H2O... Thxs Mother Nature .

22.01.2022 So Ive spent the arvo on the 4 wheel sheep .. And as you know its been a while since weve had the need for it ! Took the camera ( as you do! ) Or should I call it my Ram Cam and Muma Nature turned it on again... New favourite colours Grey and Green.. Busy times ahead .Wedding this weekend, school camp next week,50th the week after. Easter weekend booked out. Still availabilitys each side of . Go to BILLYO!

22.01.2022 Had a great weekend out here at Billyo last weekend , with a great group of people travelling up from the Blue Mountains for a surprise 50 th. . Mick ,Nic and family were second time visitors , with friends visiting for the first time ...A couple of enjoyable nights were had by all .. Saturday night Noah and I put on a BBQ and opened up the bar .. A couple of cocktails were new additions to our menu , with the Naughty Nicky and the Billyo Ball Tearer proving popular...Thanks everyone for making the Journey !,hope to see you again .!

22.01.2022 My suspicions have been put to rest at last .. After setting up a few surveillance cameras this week ,all has been revealed ! Trespassing,Graffiti,vandalism and general pirate like behaviour by some locals.. and all this was taking place whilst we had a fantastic group of Dignitaries ,Gardeners,and Councillors from Dubbos Sister City in Japan They all enjoyed great food ,refreshments and our Bush Bash Trailer Ride.!

19.01.2022 Twas a Balmy night to wind down our Chrissy party season last night Our Disco in the Dust was a great night with 80 odd guests , Barry Gibb ,Marvin Gaye ,Elvis and many others made an appearance. Thanks to all who attended ..!

19.01.2022 There is a Catastrophe thousands of times worse than the Bush Fires, but you wont see it in the world headlines or Facebook fundraisers. I think its just so a...wesome how Aussies and the world have pitched in like crazy to donate to the bushfires. People have lost homes, animals dead, massive swathes of land dead, pristine air no longer... Well its a slither of the Australian landmass... unlike the gigantic area of Australia enduring the slow deaths of billions of animals, the death of massive swathes of land and the air filled with dust as there is nothing to keep it from blowing away. Are we now a people that can only be moved when something instant happens? The slow painful situation that has gripped most of Australia is just a side note.... wonder why there is no fires out in our pastoral and agricultural land ? Its simply because there is nothing to burn ... the fires are burn the bits of Australia not in extreme drought as they have had grass to carry the fires... Can you imagine what this slow horrendous drought must be like for the few incredible farmers and graziers that are on their own? keeping up water and feed to animals across their farms and stations... now imagine what it must be like for them to see these fires burn grass they only wish they had access too to feed their starving animals... I dont want in anyway to discount the tragedy that is these catastrophic bush fires, but dont forget the much much bigger Tragedy that is Australia and this drought that is beyond anything we have experienced. There are people out there, there are livestock and native animals facing annihilation on a scale that is so incomprehensible maybe its easier to just forget about them. I ask you not to forget! Share this post and remind people that whilst yes its great to donate to the bushfires and the volunteers who fight them .... please support our bush men and women... not by donations... but by buying Australian Lamb, Beef, Grains and Vegetables in your local shops... by visiting rural towns to do your clothes shopping and get your hair done ... by having a weekend away in our heartland and spending your money where we need it. So many towns across Qld and NSW are now without their own water supplies and more will run out.... go visit those towns, go shopping, stay the night and spend your money and your time... and ensure we keep them alive ... its the only thing that will. #takeanemptyesky

15.01.2022 Its been a fair wait ,but the long weekend was all systems Go! The City folk fled the Big Smoke ,over the Big Blue Hill ,and out to Billyo they came . A truly fantastic group of people!. They came from Cronulla,Maitland,Newcastle,Neutral Bay and wheelabarraback .. We gave them their mandatory Covid dip ,before our bonfire,trailer rides, bush walks ,some Pulled pork rolls and Nachos at the Bar washed down with our all Aussie beers and wines. Great weekend and Thankyou all

12.01.2022 Another holidays ..Been and Gone .. A real mixed Bag out here . We had 45 Degree days ,Dust storms ,and at last a few drops of the wet stuff ! . Guests from Russia ,Brisbane,Belgium,Brazil,Scotland,England ,Sydney and others ..braved the conditions to visit .. Days were filled with Farm Tours , Canoeing, Day trips to Mudgee ,The Royal flying Doctor Centre ,The zoo ,Gaol and like these picks show ...Some just enjoyed lazin around . Easter is pretty close to being booked out , but we have availablities during the April school holidays...If you havent been out here ...Go To Billyo..

A visitor staying here from Brisbane this week ,who is a diabetic requiring dialysis every second day ,took advantage of our makeshift hospital,set up in our Meet house...After looking through the Archives we found some old photos that confirmed the old building had previously been used as a hospital..

08.01.2022 Dont tie Tricky up , but the wind out here blew her out of her yard and into the neighbours pool 2 ks away !The Dust would of made Slim proud , all that aside had a lovely young couple from Belgium stay with us tonight . Saw their first Skippy, Dust storm,three legged cat and can of Bundy Thought I couldnt let em leave without a little bit of a sunset ! Oh and it blew the tank off the stand as well !

08.01.2022 Howdy All ... Well what a Doozie of a time were going through at the moment .. 2 years of Drought , Duststorms, Bushfires and now a bloody virus named after my favourite Beer ! With 30 family cancellations in 2 weeks , the place looking a treat ,its enough to make you cry in your cornflakes . BUT STOP . We as proud Australians,have never experienced anything like this ,and hopefully will never again. Financially and Mentally many of us are and will be effected by this... bloody thing for some time to come . And thats were the Doom and gloom stops my friends .. Take this time to have a reset , enjoy the quiet ,Drop her back into 1st gear and smell the campfire. Look after the ones you love ...hell..even the ones you dont . Use the social distancing as a great excuse not to stand next that stinky mate ,and stop bluein in the supermarket . Things will return to normal .. you WILL all want to cuddle that Aunty with the bad breath ,you WILL want to wine and dine the darlin again , and believe me you WILL want to Come to Billyo Bush Retreat for an extended period . So stay safe all our friends and supporters. Hang in there....on your own ..at home ..and dont you roam . Were booked out and shouldnt have too much trouble Social distancing . Weve allowed 5 acres per person and a quick run through the sheep dip on arrival . Since our last post ,weve been busy knocking up a few additions to the place .. with the Wedding Ceremony area and entrance nearly finished , A reva...mp of the shaded area near the Bar , with lighting and new centre pole ! 06.01.2022 The Dust has settled just in time for our Chrissy shindigs to get a roll on. Shes warmed up enough for Esmay our Eagle to start layin boiled eggs. We had some great guests Friday and Saturday night . With workers and friends from Royans,Strathbrooks,Cox Insurance and Scolari /Comerford letting their hair down for the night . A couple more over the next few weeks ,culminating with our finale ,Disco in the Dust on Friday 20 Th December ..

05.01.2022 The Heavens opened last night at Billyo with a storm that that we predicted last week from the tell tale signs of our ever reliable Beer Bush bearing copious amounts of fruit .. Today I was inundated with orders for these trees from all over the joint .! Including Weatherzone ,Inigo Jones and Some bloke looking for a cure for the Corona Virus ... Our first tube stocks potted and ready for shipment .

04.01.2022 As you all know behind every business are the Unsung Heroes . Family is huge for me .. and none more important than my Not so little anymore apprentice CEO ..NOAH. Out here at Billyo hes the first to offer help with anything we do . Maybe bangin out a pizza ,grabbing some firewood,Waiting and Bar work ( soft drinks only !) Kids spotlight Coordinator and most of all calming me down when things are going a bit .... 04.01.2022 Had a fantastic Wedding last weekend ( photos to come) which has prompted me to start another project . A permanent ceremony area is under construction to add to the other 13 half started projects .! A Rustic Arbor , seating area ,views and shade ! ..With a couple of old charcoal boiler lids for umbrellas and old wagon for a stage thingy and a few other surprises ,Im excited to see what I come up with !. We currently have 4 weddings booked in for September, but why not have a winter wedding ? .. ..Call us for more info .

Sunrise out here was a beautiful place to reflect on All the Fallen heroes that sacrificed so much ,so we can all live the fortunate lives we do . Thankyou .
