22.01.2022 The last several months during the Covid 19 restrictions have seen our TEAM Of volunteers reduced greatly, but with extra hard work and help from several new su...pporters we have the garden looking wonderful and have had some pretty amazing things happen. Saturday was one of those days that make you feel so humble and grateful for the community support we have for the garden. Billy and the Septics came and cleaned and sanitized the portaloo for us refusing to accept any payment. Thank you so much Billy and Sandy, such lovely, generous people Discussion was held as regards to extending and landscaping a large native rockery and one of our TEAM WALAN went for a drive to see if anyone had some excess soil and rocks that they could donate. Helen found a business who thought they could help us out and she had just finished telling the TEAM when a truck pulled up at the gates. SJ Pools and Concrete had been excavating for a pool installation, had a load of lovely top soil they thought we may be able to use and to top this off they weren't the business that Helen had spoken to. Instead of the soil being taken to landfill we now have the beginning of our next rockery. Thank you Scott for the soil and Denis for thinking of us, fabulous. Our compost, an amazing mix of horse poo, garden and kitchen scraps and coffee grounds is being put to good use, the worms and the vegetables love it. Many thanks to Magnolia Cafe and The Fast Lane Coffee for saving the coffee grounds for us. Congratulations to Kristen and Shannon Hart of Arbortec Tree Service, our donors of wood chips, on the birth of Sebastian James.
