25.01.2022 Thank you to the hundreds of people that came out to the farm over the last weekend and picked fruit. It was very much appreciated. Hope you are enjoying your produce. I have again checked with the NSW Health Department and it is still OK for us to be open. After all last weeks comments and concerns I delved a little further and was told by the Department that as long as your travel is to buy food that you are allowed to travel to come here. Please feel free to comment bu...t all unnecessary and hurtful comments and any fighting will be deleted immediately. Lets all try to be nice. Social distancing still has to apply but that is not hard to do on our farm. We still have a large crop of Pink Lady apples that we need to pick before we lose the whole crop, so if you need to get out of the house this weekend for your mental health and/or to purchase fruit, please come to Bilpin, we need you. So the farm will be open this weekend Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd May ,we will be open for pick your own fruits and veggies from 10am to 4pm each day. We will be monitoring the amount of people entering the farm. Please be patient if we reach capacity and you are waiting to come in. It has proven to be very popular, we will continue the 7 days of opening the farm from 10am to 4pm each day until further notice. This week we still have plenty of Royal gala apples and red delicious apples both at $5/kg; we also have zucchini and squash $8/kg, Cauliflower $3.00/ each; Cabbage $3.00/ each zucchini flowers $1.00/ each. Figs still not quite ready just yet, wont be long, hop...efully next weekend. Entry is $5 for adults and $3 for children aged between 3 and 15 years. Children under 3 years are free to enter. 23.01.2022 Thank you to everyone that has been supporting us through all our troubling times, We have gone from drought, to fire, to floods, now to Corona Virus. It has been very tough over the last 6 months but you our fantastic customers have got us though all of this. So a huge thank you from us to you. I have been in touch with the NSW Health Department to find out if the farm can remain open and they have advised me that as long as we adhere to social distancing and limitations ...on how many enter the farm we are ok to go ahead. So this weekend Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th March,we will be open for pick your own fruits and veggies from 10am to 4pm each day. We will be monitoring the amount of people entering the farm and limiting this to a maximum of 100 at any given time. Please be patient if we reach capacity and you are waiting to come in. The shop is open from 8am to 5pm each day for (take away only) food, beverages and the best apple pie you will ever eat. We also have plenty of fruit and veggies for sale in the shop. We are also offering a drive though service for the shop if you do not want to get out of your car, commencing from Saturday 28th March. We will have someone standing outside taking your orders and you can park your car and we will bring everything out to you. Please be patient with us and our staff during these uncertain times. 23.01.2022 UPDATE!!! THE FARM IS CLOSED SUNDAY 27TH AND MONDAY 28TH DECEMBER. WE HAVE RUN OUT OF FRUIT. WE WILL REOPEN FRIDAY 1ST JANUARY. The Bilpin Fruit Bowl farm and shop will be CLOSED on Christmas Day 25th December. We will be open on Boxing Day 26th December from 10am to 4pm. If we sell out of fruit we will have to close earlier than 4pm. Not sure if we will be open on Sunday 27th or Monday 28th December just yet. It depends on whether we have any fruit left. 18.01.2022 The Bilpin Fruit Bowl will be open this weekend Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th December for peach picking between 10am and 4pm each day. We still have a little bit of yellow flesh peaches for picking, but this weekend we will be commencing with white flesh picking. All peaches $5/kg. Hopefully plums will not be too far away. They are looking amazing at the moment. Last weekend we had people come out to the farm and caused significant damage to our trees. I just want to ...say firstly that this is the minority and not the majority of our customers. Thank you to the customers that always do the right thing and also encourage their children to be well behaved. When you visit ANY pick your own farm you should always be respectful of the farm, the farmers and the hard work they do to produce this beautiful fruit, and the fact that they allow you the privilege to enter the farm to do fruit picking. Two most important rules is you must pay for whatever you pick. Do not pick bags full of fruit and then just dump them under the trees. Secondly DO NOT climb the trees, you could harm yourself and destroy any future crop on our trees when the branches break. In future this behavior will not be tolerated and you will be escorted off farm immediately (after paying for damages). Entry in $5 for adults and $3 for children between 3 and 15 years. 15.01.2022 FARM CLOSED UNTIL NOVEMBER 2020 Thank you to each and every single person that supported us over the last 6 months by coming out to the farm. Due to the amount of people that turned up today, we have run out of apples. I did advertise that we would be open on Monday 8th June but unfortunately this will not be the case. I sincerely apologise for any inconvenience. The farm will now be closed until mid November 2020 when we return to opening our farm with stone fruit and veggi...es. Hopefully our next season will not be as dramatic as this season. Our shop remains open every day all year round from 8am to 5pm. So we would still love to see you in our shop. 14.01.2022 Unfortunately due to the heavy rain in Bilpin today Saturday 14th March, we will not be able to open the farm for Apple picking. It is too wet , slippery and muddy out there. The shop is open all day, so you can still come and get one if our awesome Apple pies. Not too sure if we are going to open tomorrow, depends how hard it is raining. 10.01.2022 Due to the popularity of the farm being open every day, we have decided to continue this until further notice. Thank you for your support in keeping the farm open 7 days a week. This week we have just started with Granny Smith and Braeburn apples so both these are available for picking as well as our Royal gala and red delicious apples. ALL APPLES $5/kg. We have the most amazing figs ready at the moment but they are only for sale in the shed. Pick your own figs will comme...nce in about 2 weeks when there are lots of figs to pick. We have found the culprit/s responsible for some of the damage to the apple trees (see photo below). These pesky black cockies have been doing lots of damage to the fruit trees. So help us out by coming fruit picking before they take the lot. They are coming in as most of the netting was burnt in the bushfire allowing them access. We are in the process of replacing this netting but it is a huge time consuming job. Entry is $5 for adults and $3 for children aged between 3 and 15 years. Children under 3yrs are free to enter. 09.01.2022 WE ARE REOPENING ON 28TH NOVEMBER FOR FRUIT PICKING Picking season is nearly upon us again and The Bilpin Fruit Bowl will be reopening on Saturday 28th November, 2020 for fruit and veggie picking. From this day we will open every weekend and public holiday up till mid June from 10am to 4pm. We will start with yellow flesh peaches and possibly plums. I will post another update closer to opening day with all the veggies that will be ready for picking. Stone fruit - 28th N...ov until end of January Apple Season - 26th January until mid June Veggies - 28th Nov until mid June Figs - mid January until end February Olives - End of March Please note these picking times are only an indication and times may vary due to weather elements. Hopefully this year will not be as dramatic as last year's picking season. Looking forward to seeing all our regular customers and meeting all our new customers. Bookings are not necessary at this stage, you can just turn up on any days we are open. We may however have to change this in the future due to covid-19.

08.01.2022 SOME VERY EXCITING NEWS HAPPENING !!!!! I can now confirm that the Showbag van will be making a return to The Bilpin Fruit Bowl again this year. It has been a very tough 12 months for these people with all the Shows not being able to open. We want to help them get back on their feet. They are arriving here on Wednesday 17th March and opening to sell show bags from Saturday 20th March. They will definitely be open every weekend and every day over Easter between 8am and 5pm. ... Last year people came from everywhere to help them out, lets do it again this year bigger and better. You will be able to purchase brand new, never before seen showbags here before they go on sale at the Royal Easter Show. I will upload photos of these showbags next week. They are also very kindly donating 5 showbags each week that they are here, valued at $30 each to be given away to some lucky people. (more about this in next weeks update). So I ask everybody that reads this for one small favour, could you please share this update so we can get the word out and to let people know to come to Bilpin Fruit Bowl to buy your showbags.

08.01.2022 The Bilpin Fruit Bowl farm will be open this weekend Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th January for pick your own from 10am to 4pm. This weekend we will have yellow flesh peaches $5/kg; white flesh peaches $5/kg; plums $10/kg; zucchini $8/kg and squash $8/kg. We will also have figs picked from our farm for sale in the shed $20/kg. Entry fee is $5 for adults and $3 for children between 3yrs and 15yrs. Under 3yrs are free to enter ... No booking necessary, u can just turn up. Pls make sure you wear sensible shoes. Apples are looking great and at this stage we expect to start apple picking from 26th January

07.01.2022 This weekend Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st May, we will be open for pick your own from 10am to 4pm each day. We will be monitoring the amount of people entering the farm. Please be patient if we reach capacity and you are waiting to come in. Thanks to each and every one of you that has been out to the farm or shop over the last few weeks. Your support is overwhelming. Some really food news happening here. The showbag vans will make a return to the Bilpin Fruit Bowl from ...Friday 5th June. They will be here all long weekend. So if you missed out when they were here last time, make sure you get out here over the long weekend. Lets all get behind them and help them out and come buy some showbags from them. 07.01.2022 APPLE PICKING IS STARTING THIS SATURDAY!!!!! Be one of the first people to have new season apples. These new season apples are not available in the shops yet, you have to come to the farm to pick them. We will now be open every weekend and public holidays from this Saturday 16th January from 10am to 4pm for apple picking up till the end of May (hopefully). We do not open during the week. This weekend we will have Royal Gala apples @ $5/kg ; we still have a little bit of w...hite flesh peaches left @ $5/kg; Zucchini and Squash $8/kg. Red Delicious apple will commence early Feb, Pink lady apples commence Mid march and Granny Smith apples commence early April. These times are just an indication only as we work with mother nature, so these times could change. Entry in $5 for adults and $3 for children between 3 and 15 years. 02.01.2022 The showbag van has just arrived. They will be open from 9am Thursday 18th and Friday 19th March. Avoid the weekend rush, come up over the next two days, and be one of the first in NSW to get a showbag. They will be open every weekend till the end of Easter school holidays. They will also be open on some weekdays. All opening dates will be posted here on weekly.

Please come to The Bilpin Fruit Bowl and support these people In light of the current situation regarding COVID-19 and the governments requirements, we will be opening but have health and safety procedures in place. ... * we will only be using take away/throw out options. This includes no keep cups will be accepted * monitoring the amount of people in the shop at all times and if our limits are reached waiting for people to exit before entering * constant cleaning of all high traffic areas * if possible to pay only by credit card * entry in the front door and exit out the side door * indoor seating is not an option at this point.
