23.01.2022 To the locals....Hanlon's has ended its great time in Bilpin (bow to Nancy)...Bilpin Afire now New Apple Bar ....Lochiel House doing an amazing job serving up s...ome of the best cuisine in the mountains yet alone Sydney......we are on the change and it's really exciting to live up here now with so much changing.....our area needs to change to develop bringing great choices up here....I just made a trip to QLD and back and experienced so many changes in the local towns with great food & cafe options it was a pleasure to witness...we and Bilpin and beyond need change to make our town great. Hanlon's soon will be a great bakery and stock feed location how exciting is that.....Maggie Lou's Bite is doing a great job too and Marg is truely doing her best to cook with love that makes us all feel better....as a business owner in Bilpin for 14 years its tough to survive just relying on just tourist trade! Be local, support the locals and the rewards are so in our favour including your house prices going up as Syd siders consider our area with more conveniences! Aka even Jimmy Newtons business is a great addition to our lives up here....the survival of local business is in your hands locals so please support them....I know I missed some here and apologies in advance. 22.01.2022 Well its our second last weekend and this guy on the menu. Goes back to Bluewater Grill days. The best snap fried whole fish there is....limited supply. Also Haddon Rig 41 day dry aged Merino lamb woodgrilled all Greek'd up. Enjoy MJ



19.01.2022 Ok guys re the Apple Bar Chef drop in this Friday night ...we have capped the our night to 100 customers. We have left only 8 spots for the 6PM seating and 6 sp...ots left for the 7.30PM seating....thanks you for your support for the Maggie Lou's Bite venue! The menu will be Salmon Carpaccio, Yellowtail Kingfish Ceviche, Honey wild King Prawns, Chilli Salt and Pepper Green Eye Squid with our Green Sweet Chilli & Coriander Mayo, Char Grilled Roo fillet with spiced Plum glaze, Char Grilled Pork rib with caramelised Apple and Grain mustard Beurre Blanc, 6 week aged Char Grilled Beef (Sirloin & some trussed Fillet with Cafe de Paris Butter & crispy onions, Char Grilled Atlantic Salmon Fillet with Lombok Honeymoon sauce, Individual Rhubarb tarts with our Vanilla Bean Icecream, Lime (our own organic limes) scented baked Mascarpone Cheesecake with Passionfruit, Flourless Belgian Chocolate Cake with whipped Cream.....Some seafood changes may happen depending on Sydney Fish Markets. I'll keep the page active for future events including a charity event in London mid next year a very exclusive gig that only some of the best are invited and foodie updates.
