24.01.2022 Check out this X-ray! Pitta the carpet python was hit by a car, and unfortunately didn’t make it. Thankfully, the team at the Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital... were able to successfully remove her twelve eggs, and place them in an incubator! Once these little beauties hatch, we’ll release them into the wild! See more

17.01.2022 Shoutout to my little brother (who definitely isn’t ‘little’ anymore) for being such an incredible friend. You’re always there for me and I know you will be the best uncle when our baby girl is born. Love you.

15.01.2022 Today is National Kangaroo Awareness Day. Some of my earliest memories are of spending time with kangaroos. This icon species is under tremendous pressure due to the devastating recent bushfires that wiped out over a billion animals, including a heartbreakingly large number of kangaroos. Humans also kill kangaroos for sport and the wildlife meat trade. Now more than ever we need to protect this beautiful species.

15.01.2022 Love this adorable smile from our Fijian crested iguana. #AustraliaZoo

11.01.2022 Happy Birthday to my amazing brother! Your kind heart and fantastic sense of humour makes my every day. Our baby girl is going to love her ‘funcle’ (fun uncle) so very much. You’re one of the brightest lights the world has ever seen. I’ll always be here for you. Love you!

09.01.2022 This gorgeous and slightly wobbly echidna puggle (baby) is less than 10 weeks old. He was orphaned after his mum was hit by a car. Thankfully, he’s now receiving the best possible care from our Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital team to save his life.

06.01.2022 Meet our adorable elongated tortoises. These cuties are endangered in the wild due to the illegal wildlife trade and habitat loss. Here at Australia Zoo we’ve started a breeding program to help protect this special species. Also, my tortoise would appreciate it if you didn’t point out the breakfast salad on her face...
