17.01.2022 Are you a local tradie? The Shire of Chittering is continuously trying to increase our local trade contractor database. We understand the current times are... very testing for small businesses and would like to help our local contractors in any way we can. We currently have several projects yet to complete for this year’s annual program. We are seeking expressions of interest from any building industry trades such as painters, maintenance carpenters, cabinetmakers, plumbers, electricians, fencing contractors, glaziers, concreters etc. If you are interested in working with the Shire on any of our upcoming projects, please register your interest with the Shire’s Technical Services department on 9576 4609 or by emailing [email protected]. 13.01.2022 5 years ago today we announced that we were opening a business! (8/11/2015).We had no idea what to expect and no idea on how to run a business, after all Justin and Rachel were only 20 & 21 at the time. We were about to hop on the roller coaster of our lives. We had no idea our business would take off so fast and we are overwhelmed with how far we have come. In the first few years we were awarded the 2017 Wheatbelt Business of the Year, 2017 Young Entrepreneurs of the Year, ...2018 Chanel 7 Regional Business Achievement Award, nominee 2019 Telstra Business Woman of the Year Award (Rachel), nominee 2019 Young Achiever of the Year Awards (Justin). And a few other smaller awards. This success has also come with great challenges. There have been plenty of times that we have been tempted to give up when things have not gone right. We have always pushed on and have become very resilient in the process. This has been the hardest but most rewarding journey we have ever taken. We believe the challenges have genuinely humbled us. We could not have done this without so many special people in our lives. Our beautiful customers have been an absolute pillar of strength for us. We are happy to say that we have built close relationships with many of our customers and have built a lot of strong business connections which feels very supportive. I know this is a long post but I am sitting here on a beautiful Sunday morning and reflecting on this massive life changing journey and how genuinely grateful we are to everyone for the support and love. We can’t wait to see what the future brings. Ready to go into our 5th year of business! Happy Sunday all

09.01.2022 STATEMENT REGARDING RECENT INCIDENT: Thank you to all who have called and messaged us with their kind words at this time. We know a lot of people are curious about the circumstances regarding the incident that occurred at our workshop on Wednesday afternoon. Firstly DON’T trust the media! We are disappointed with the media sensationalism and false hype surrounding the stories portrayed by Chanel 7 and Chanel 9 news. A lot was taken out of context. We want to provide full tra...nsparency on the situation as there is nothing to hide and we were innocent targets. The offender entered our premises demanding goods/cash. He was told several times to vacate the premises. This agitated him and we would not give into his demands to hand over goods. We were unaware that he was in possession of an illegal firearm. As he was leaving the property in a very bad mood he resorted to malicious damage by putting bullets through car windows then fled the scene. There was no feud/threats or fight. Police and forensics were called straight away to the scene and the offender now in custody. The media showed up and were told politely to move on and leave private property, there were persistent in pestering us and would not leave. We believe that full transparency will help to squash any rumours, now everyone will hear it first hand. We want our customers to feel comfortable with us and know that they can talk to us. Its important to maintain our amazing connections with our customers. On a lighter note we are glad it’s a long weekend so we can take a few days for some much needed rest and self care before resuming business as usual on Tuesday. We wish everyone a wonderful Easter. Stay safe and relax everyone. *feel free to share.
