25.01.2022 Bingham Agriculture currently has positions available for the upcoming 2020-2021 harvesting season. The 2020 harvest will commence early October and run through until January depending on the season. Our harvest begins in Queensland then runs south through New South Wales, South Australia then into Victoria to finish around home. we currently run a large modern fleet of John Deere S-series headers including S670,S680,S690 and S790s all with Greenstar GPS and yielding mappi...ng. Applicants for the 2020/2021 harvest must be hard working, prepared to work away from home, Work in a team environment, have good work ethics, be well mannered and polite to staff and clients. Applicants will be required to perform regular maintenance on all machines including morning services and assist or repair breakdowns so those with a mechanical background will be preferred. Applicants must hold a current Australian drivers licence, and have their own form of transport. Accommodation is supplied at all jobs. Full time positions are available for the right candidates. 24.01.2022 No action today. Headers are all parked being a day of catastrophic fire risk. In South Australia we have a harvesting code of practice which uses a matrix of t...emperature, humidity and wind speed to determine when the risk of harvesting is too high. It is not a legal requirement, but certainly seen as a social responsibility. It seems most farmers in SA have decided early to ‘pull the pin’ for 24 hours due to the the forecasted conditions to ensure that we reduce the risk and keep the community safe.
