Certification from MSC ensures our fish oils are sourced from fisheries independently assessed regarding impacts to wild fish populations and related ecosystems, a transparent supply chain from beginning to end product, and safeguarding of the ocean and future fish stocks. #Sustainability #FishOil #MSCcertified #MSC #EcoSystem #BioCeuticals

18.01.2022 Pain can be overwhelming both for the person experiencing it and the practitioner treating it. Pain can have so many causes, it can be tough to know where to start! Is it musculoskeletal, neurological (nerve), migraine, inflammatory or a symptom of being unwell? Is it chronic (lasting more than three months) or acute (more recent)? Getting answers to these questions can help us figure out the best method to treat the underlying cause of pain, but there are also things we ca...n do to alleviate pain regardless of the source. Tell us in the comments - what type of pain do you deal with? Or what type of pain do you often see in your clinic? #BioCeuticals #Pain #Clinic #HealthPractitioner

15.01.2022 Do you find yourself sitting too much? Not sure how to be more active? No time to go to the gym? It doesn’t have to be all or nothing! Small moments of movement through the day can really add up. ... Take the stairs instead of the lift and park at the far end of the carpark to get some extra steps in. Something as simple as brushing your teeth can be turned into a mini workout too do squats or lunges for the 2 minutes you’re brushing your teeth. For something a bit more fun, put on your favourite upbeat songs and have a dance party in the living room. You can even add in some movement without getting out of bed! Doing some gentle stretches in the morning before you get up can help get your blood moving and muscles ready for the day and at night can help you relax and drift off to sleep. #StartYourDayRight #MoveMore #Movement #Active #BioCeuticals

13.01.2022 Who said chocolate wasn’t healthy? These delicious, fudgy, nutty brownies are jam-packed full of magnesium which helps to support muscle function. Magnesium is important in how our muscles relax and contract and our muscles certainly do a lot of that every day. Eating dark chocolate and nuts is a great way to boost those magnesium levels to help you move better. You’ll also get a healthy dose of antioxidants too! Fudgy Nutty Brownies by Jillian Foster Natural Health ... Ingredients: - 200g dark chocolate (minimum 70% cocoa), finely chopped - 130g Medjool dates (fresh, pitted), finely chopped - 180g coconut oil (organic, cold-pressed) - 30g coconut flour - cup nuts (peanuts, almonds, brazil nuts, walnuts), roughly chopped - 4 eggs - tsp vanilla extract - Pinch of sea salt Method: - Preheat oven to 190C - Line a 22cm square baking dish with baking paper - Add chocolate, dates, coconut oil to a double boiler saucepan and whisk on a low heat for 5 minutes until melted and smooth - In a bowl combine coconut flour and nuts - Add melted chocolate/date/coconut oil mixture to the flour and nuts and mix well - Add eggs, vanilla extract and sea salt to the mixture and mix until well combined - Scrape mixture into prepared baking dish and top with chopped nuts or leave plain - Bake in preheated oven for 18-20 minutes (careful not to overcook or they won’t be 'fudgy'!) - Allow to cool before cutting into squares. Keep refrigerated and eat within 5 days (if they last that long!) If you don’t have fresh dates, you can use dried dates, just soak them for at least an hour first. You can omit the nuts if you choose, the brownies will still taste delicious! #Magnesium #MeatlessMonday #BioCeuticals #Recipe #FudgeBrownies #BrownieRecipe

09.01.2022 For about 2 million Australians, migraine is a significant and debilitating condition. Susceptibility to migraine is normally inherited, with certain parts of the brain adopting a seemingly hypersensitive response to certain stimuli. The pain nucleus of the trigeminal nerve becomes spontaneously active and pain is felt in the head or upper neck and blood flow in the face and scalp increases reflexly. 08.01.2022 Swap out our morning coffee today for a soothing #turmeric chai latte instead! Turmeric is a powerful anti-inflammatory - a great addition to food and drinks for an extra boost! Pairing turmeric with black pepper helps your body absorb more of it (and tastes delicious). Ginger is great too! Turmeric can be a little strong for some tastes, but the addition of #chai spices and honey turns it into a scrumptious drink you'll want to have every day. Take a little me-time with this... soothing turmeric chai latte by Amy Jordan, BSc(Hons)Nutrition. Serves: 2 - cup peeled and chopped fresh turmeric - tbsp chopped peeled ginger - tbsp cardamom pods - 1 tsp whole cloves - tsp whole peppercorns - Small cinnamon stick - 2 cups milk of choice - 1 tsp loose black tea or 1 black tea bag (optional) - Honey to taste 1. Place turmeric, ginger, cardamom, cloves, peppercorns and cinnamon stick into saucepan on medium heat. Toast spices until aromatic. 2. Optional remove spices and crush slightly with a morter and pestle. This increases the intensity of the aromatics. Toasting the spices without crushing reduces some bitterness while retaining the depth of flavour. 3. Add milk and bring to a simmer (be careful not to over-boil dairy milk for best flavour); simmer for 5 minutes. 4. Remove from heat. If using black tea, add to milk+spice mixture. Brew for 3-5 minutes. 5. Strain mixture into each cup. Add honey to taste If you can only source ground spices*, use the following amounts: . 1 tsp ground turmeric . tsp ground ginger . tsp ground cardamom . tsp ground cloves . tsp freshly ground pepper . tsp cinnamon *(If you're using ground spices, skip steps toasting and crushing the spices and go straight to adding the milk, continuing the recipe from step 3). Note: spice mixes tend to be dictated by personal taste feel free to play around with the quantities a little to make the perfect turmeric chai for you! #FeelGoodFriday #TurmericChaiLatte #BioCeuticals
