25.01.2022 Kensington Stockyard community garden have harvested over 300kg of fresh produce since July 2020 from only 28 Foodcubes. That's 10kg from each Foodcube in 4 months. Per annum, Kensington are on track to harvest 30kg per m2 which is higher than our recommended average of 25kg per Foodcube. Great going Kensington Stockyard!

25.01.2022 https://www.biofilta.com.au/n/tiny-home-foodcubes-st-kilda Big thanks to Elle Paton for helping us out with this story. Elle is one of the founders of Tiny Non-profit, an organisation dedicated to proving the viability of tiny homes as a housing alternative in Australia.... It is so wonderful working with people who share our vision for a sustainable future!

22.01.2022 Bass Coast Shire Council has a new edible courtyard and it is bursting with food. Designed by The Sustainable Landscape Company, the courtyard has become a place for council staff to come together and grow food to support community groups and their food relief programs. We had a chance to sit down with Sharni Mann from the council and Greg Thompson, the manager of Pical- Phillip Island Community and Learning Centre Inc. ... We discussed the inspiration behind the courtyard and the many benefits of growing food. More broadly, we talked about food security and sustainability in the Bass Coast Shire and what the council and Pical are doing to prepare the community for a sustainable future. Check it out.

21.01.2022 Nice to see the volunteers back at Kensington Stockyard Food Garden this weekend Looks like the Foodcubes have worked well with minimal inputs https://www.facebook.com/223085401807674/posts/809323416517200/?d=n

19.01.2022 Great to see a new community farm up and running at Glen Junor in Gisborne near Melbourne, and great work by The Sustainable Landscape Company in delivering this project https://www.facebook.com/2616205018393068/posts/4072266726120216/?d=n

18.01.2022 We love community gardens. We love transforming under-utilised urban spaces into productive food growing areas. The folks at St John's Riverside Community Garden do as well.... They've transformed this old tennis court into a vibrant space that the community uses to grow food. Recently they've added another 12 Foodcubes, doubling the size of the tennis court garden. So good to see.

18.01.2022 Nice little story - Dan is a firefighter who built a sustainable house in Bellbrae near Torquay, and Biofilta installed and planted out a large water efficient 11 sq meter Foodcube farm for him and his family in one day in late August this year, including trellising, hoops and netting. Dan and his family had to relocate to Queensland soon after and Fioran (pictured) and her family moved in as tenants. The farm is now 9 weeks old and is exploding with Spring produce, includin...g different varieties of tomatoes, onions, pumpkin, zucchini, spinach, snow peas, beans, silverbeet, broccoli, various herbs, and much more. Annual yield in herbs and vegetables from this farm should exceed 250 kilograms, putting a huge amount of fresh produce on the table. Nice before and after photos including planting the garden on day of installation. Nice contribution for a homeowner to pass on to tenants #naturebasedsolutions #circulareconomy #reducedfoodbills See more

03.01.2022 The pop up farm at Bellbrae, Victoria, is producing a big surplus of fresh produce for this family.

03.01.2022 Our friends at The Sustainable Landscape Company have designed and built this beautiful and productive community farm for Glen Junor at Gisborne, Victoria. The farm features Melbourne designed and manufactured Biofilta wicking beds as the centrepiece of food production. This is a really exciting project and we hope to see efficient urban farms built on new estates and retrofitted into existing communities for all the benefits they bring. ... This farm was built and planted out 6 weeks ago and had its first harvest for charity this week #foodsecurity #resilience #naturebasedsolutions

03.01.2022 King Kids early learning childcare in Hallam have some fantastic wicking bed discovery gardens for children. The landscape and installation was undertaken by Julie King Living Landscapes and are looking awesome. Julie chose the Foodcube for ease of install, low maintenance, water efficiency and the beds are a great height for children.... Lettuce know what you think.
