20.01.2022 Never ceases to amaze me the diversity of marine organisms capable of hitching a ride on the submerged hull of vessels. This is a first, brittle stars and a sea urchin within a rudder recess of an extremely active and fast moving vessel.

10.01.2022 Yesterday I had the privilege of inspecting the Far Statesman, one of Solstad Offshore ASA Platform Support Vessels which is heading to Australia to relieve one of their vessels which has been helping supply food, water, fuel, etc to the poor people at Mallacoota, Victoria. Solstad Offshore ASA just swung into action and volunteered well before most...For those in the industry who know what it costs to operate such vessels on a daily basis, let alone taking such an asset away from its contracted duties is truely amazing. So a big shout out to Solstad Offshore ASA! You guys are truely amazing!

05.01.2022 Always wondered how many steps and floors I cover in a day while undertaking a dry-docking inspection. Of course this assumes the Fitbit algorithm is accurate which I suspect has its limitations and is rather generous!

02.01.2022 Hope this is the last one for 2019 as had been a very busy year. Finished on a high though as this vessel has been awarded the largest-ever 4D seismic campaign in the Asia Pacific region covering up to six fields operated by Woodside in Australia.
