02.01.2022 As a coach, I enjoy seeing my clients achieve amazing results. Helping clients who are bringing someone into the world is an even more amazing experience. Not only do I get to go along for the ride with the future mummy, I also get to meet someone very special at the end. I was lucky enough to work with this wonderful woman, and meet her beautiful daughter. I encourage women who exercise before pregnancy to continue a modified fitness program during pregnancy to prepare them... for the demands of labour and caring for a newborn. For women who have never exercised before conceiving, theres much to be gained from adopting an appropriate exercise program while pregnant, and postpartum. Benefits of exercise during pregnancy: Exercise boosts levels of serotonin, a brain chemical linked to mood, putting you in better spirits. Prepare your body for childbirth - labour requires stamina, focus and plenty of determination; the fitter you are, the better equipped you will be for giving birth. Faster return to pre-pregnancy healthy weight. Sleep better - exercise can assist in managing restlessness and disturbed sleep during pregnancy. Maintain a level of fitness - if you were a regular exerciser before falling pregnant, youll be keen to stay in shape. Reduce stress - pregnancy is both a joyous and stressful time, exercise can temper the emotional rollercoaster. Reduce pregnancy discomfort - exercise can help manage back pain and strain as your belly grows. Improve your self-image - exercise increases the blood flow to your skin, giving you a healthy glow. Me-time. it will be the last time you can enjoy your exercise high without having to coordinate babysitters and sleep times once baby is born. 02.01.2022 This morning we had a great bootcamp at Sustain on Oxford - 24/7 Gym. We had a beautiful sunrise and a view of city making the morning even better. Thanks to everyone who joined in and made it a lot of fun. Our bootcamp are offered to all members of Sustain on Oxford, free until the gym reopens.
