17.01.2022 Hello beautiful, I'm Raea, the founder and creator of Bio illumia. I've realised that I am always behind the scenes and I want to take a moment to share my story and passion for skincare with you. I started my natural journey over 15 years ago, living in Byron Bay and discovering the true power of plants through homemade face masks.... I used to hunt through health food shops and local markets for effective and ethical products, but found there were never many to choose from (so happy this is no longer the case and we are now spoilt for choice!) After struggling to find the formulations I was looking for, I started creating skincare solutions for family and friends using pure botanical ingredients and it quickly became my passion (I would spend most weekends crafting new products and gifting them to my friends to sample.) I began to embrace a more holistic approach to my wellbeing that went beyond skincare as I spent a long period of time living with an undiagnosed health issue. I embarked upon a journey of eliminating chemicals and toxins from my body and found that my overall health and wellness improved dramatically. (I also spent a lot of time reading about medicinal plants, oils and tinctures to rejuvenate and heal the body) After finally being diagnosed with Endometriosis, my passion for natural healing and botanical remedies continued. This experience inspired me to create a beautiful, ethical and luxurious skincare brand that encourages women to embrace natural beauty and achieve visibly radiant results using only pure botanical ingredients.
