19.01.2022 To conserve our native plants and animals we must connect our important natural places while keeping people, our farmers, our townships in the landscape too. This means finding ways that will really count for everyone to contribute in their gardens, local parks or paddocks. At the start of this year, we compiled overviews and links on actions that you can take on your property or in your region. ... Here is a link to the Wildlife Gardens overview - The importance of and what you can do now in your own space, no matter where it is or however big or small.

18.01.2022 The Biolinks Alliance AGM is happening online this Friday, Nov 27 from 3pm-4:30pm via Zoom. All are welcome to attend. General Meeting starts at 3pm followed by Address from Ecologist, Paul Foreman - ‘New approaches to climate-proof habitat’ at 3:45. Paul will speak about an exciting ecological restoration project being developed by the Alliance with the Taungurung people, Parks Victoria and the Heathcote community, the Spring Plains Watershed Repair project. ... The project integrates a range of restoration techniques that, at least in central Victoria, have never before been combined at a landscapescale to demonstrate how the health of bushland damaged by gold-mining and timber cutting (amongst other things) can be quickly and cost-effectively restored. 11.01.2022 What do you do if you’ve recently retired from 30 years as environmental editor with ABC Radio National Breakfast program? Take a break? Put your feet up? Not Gregg Borschmann. Gregg’s passion for the environment remains strong and next week he is using that passion to spark two online panel discussions about conservation for Squirrel Gliders and Greater Gliders. When asked ‘why work with Biolinks Alliance on this event?’ Gregg answered ‘because they’re a fair dinkum group,... bringing together grass roots networks. I like the clarity of their approach and I like their can-do attitude. Join Gregg and leading scientists, together with bush lovers and Landcarers, in our discussions about glider conservation. (Afterwards, Gregg might take a break, or put his feet up. But probably not because he’s got a book about koalas to write next!) Tuesday 27th October (9-10am): Greater Glider State of Play panel discussion. See more

A fascinating insight and a privilege to witness this conversation shared between experts with diverse backgrounds sharing common goals. Incredible knowledge hub right here!
