18.01.2022 What are the most common Standards & Guidelines missed in Laboratories?
17.01.2022 Carbon Dioxide (CO2) is a common and critical parameter in Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) and ventilation assessments and most recently as a key risk factor measure in terms of infectious potential of COVID-19 or SARS-CoV-2. It is essential your students and staff are regularly supplied with fresh and clean air, and exposure to high levels of Carbon Dioxide (CO2) can have various health effects on its own. On average, it is recommended that 4-6 air changes occur per hour depending... on room size, ventilation, and other factors. Based on well-established principle of risk modelling, Biosafety International offers ventilation and infectious risk assessments for school facilities, confined rooms and spaces, and offices. Some key points: The level of CO2 is a crucial air quality measurement of fresh air. Elevated CO2 levels produce gas build-up and can be a key indicator or infectious risk due to release of viruses. If schools CO2 levels are high, the assumption is ventilation may be poor and potential infectious viral levels may also be high. Carbon Dioxide should stay at or close to normal safe ambient equivalent levels to ensure safe indoor air quality. It is crucial to provide risk-based assessments and controls to minimise risk to an acceptable level with sound documentation and reporting. NATA Testing is available through our partner company, AMT group Australasia. AS 1668.2-2012 - The use of ventilation and air conditioning in buildings Mechanical ventilation in buildings.
16.01.2022 A logical approach to indoor air quality monitoring, infectious risk, and CO2 in schools is essential as students return to the classroom for exams in term 4.
