25.01.2022 A preview of last nights Winter Festival. Though it was windy it was a wonderful night filled with light, music and song. We all walked the spiral & even the clouds spiralled about the moon! A big thanks to all who made the evening possible. More photos to come next week.

18.01.2022 Birali Steiner School is an emerging, innovative and vibrant Steiner school, in Beachmere. It presently operates with a Principal, a Middle/Primary School Coordinator, Class Teachers, Teacher Aides, Individual Enrichment Team including a Well-being Officer, Business Manager & Administration Team with approximately 100 students from Prep to Year 9. The Individual Enrichment Teacher will work collaboratively with the Class Teachers, Individual Enrichment Staff and Primary/Middl...e School Coordinator. The Individual Enrichment Teacher must: Be willing to work as one of a holistic team in an expanding area of our school Have a deep compassion for children of all ages and backgrounds Plan and deliver lessons and targeted programs for Individual Education Plan Students Communicate with and facilitate programs to be continued by the Individual Enrichment Teacher Aides, including classroom Teacher Aides in collaboration with the Class Teacher Be willing to vision and develop new ways of supporting students both in and out of the classroom in small groups or one-on-one Support Teachers and Teacher Aides to create effective learning strategies for the many and varied students in each class Support teachers with children’s capabilities in terms of visual and auditory processing in dialogue with the Extra Lesson Teacher Take an interest in the child’s broader support program and keep reports and other documents where appropriate Plan and apply behaviour management strategies, including prompt and supportive responses to inappropriate behaviour, which contribute to the establishment and maintenance of a supportive learning environment consistent with school policies The successful applicant will meet the following Essential Criteria: Current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers (QCOT) An understanding of the principles of Rudolf Steiner education and a love for children, an enthusiasm for teaching and realistic expectations of children, self, peers and parents and a willingness to deepen this understanding through ongoing professional learning Learning Support Teaching experience Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills Applications should include: A letter of introduction, briefly addressing the above criteria Current CV with two referees (including current/most recent employer) Any relevant supporting documentation Birali Steiner School employs under the conditions in the MA000077: Educational Services (Teachers) Award 2020. 12.01.2022 On Thursday Ditto’s Keep Safe Show came to visit. All the children from Pre-prep to class 5 enjoyed the presentation about child safety though movement and song.

06.01.2022 World Teachers' Day 2020 Birali celebrated all Teachers and Teacher Aides today, showing gratitude for their dedication to the Students. Board Chair Steve Laughton opened with words of love and support drawn from Rudolf Steiner and certificates of appreciation were presented by Principal Chris Jack while the students cheered! A fantastic way to end the school week.

05.01.2022 Team Birali in it's finest form today! Such a great turn out of volunteering families to assist with the large task of planting the first 800 seedlings of 10,000 total due to be planted in the coming years.
