25.01.2022 Watercolour skies allowing a slight reprieve in what has been a wonderful few days of rain, with the promise of more to come this weekend. Bring your brollies with you folks. The produce is looking great!

21.01.2022 Hi Toowoomba customers, as this lock-down continues to unfold it appears that Anton can't do the PCYC market either, owing to having been at the Mt Gravatt one last Sunday.

21.01.2022 Rainbows, mizzling 'almost' rain, thriving vegies growing in compost and tired farmers now replying to customers ordering for tomorrow's markets. Please gift Anton and Micheal one of your kindest smiles when you see them this weekend. Boy, do we work hard here on Birchgrove Farm. But we love it!

20.01.2022 Dawn over Birchgrove Farm is an enchanting sight. Snow peas are growing beautifully. Anton loves his new Jang seeder. It's proving to be a winner for the onions, carrots and spinach. Happy Weekend everyone.

19.01.2022 Dark clouds over the young vegies and the promise of rain....

18.01.2022 Just a little heads up to our patient Toowoomba Farmers' Market customers - Micheal will man our stall again this coming Saturday. It will be a bit light on with greens, with the exception of salad mix, but we continue to plant, plant, plant.

18.01.2022 Carseldine and Mt Gravatt markets will be on this weekend, so Anton will see you there with lots of eggs, vegies and garlic.

16.01.2022 Toowoomba customers will almost certainly see Anton at both the TFM and PCYC. Just awaiting confirmation for tomorrow's market. Watch this space.

16.01.2022 Just another stunning sunrise on the farm. Yes we do need to get up this early to harvest the vegies ;). We have loads of beautiful vegies this week.

16.01.2022 Anton and I are pleased to announce that we are resuming our stall at the Toowoomba Farmers' Market at Cobb & Co this coming Saturday. Micheal will be selling our eggs and vegies there from 8 until 1 p.m. each week.

15.01.2022 Last night's weather event, resulting in shredded vegies:-

13.01.2022 To our Toowoomba Farmers' Market customers, sorry, but we won't be able to do our usual stall for a couple of weeks at least, owing to the losses sustained in our vegetable crops in yesterday's intense hail storm. Watch this space.

12.01.2022 Foggy mornings are the start to looooong farming days here on Birchgrove Farm, but we are looking forward to the markets.

12.01.2022 To our Toowoomba Farmers' Market customers, sorry to say but the hail damage is more evident as the days go by. We'll not be able to do tomorrow's stall. Fingers crossed for the coming weeks. Our Brisbane markets will be happening as usual, but with the sad absence of english spinach, rainbow chard and spinach beet. Plenty of delicious salad mix though.

10.01.2022 As our coolroom is full of freshly harvested vegies and eggs, kindly consider coming out to our farm to make your purchases. We're only 17ks from town and I (Nicola) am happy to serve. We also have some lovely Aust. purple and Russian garlic. You'll find us on our newly tarsealed 371 Wyreema-Cambooya Road. The photo is of the early morning sunrise this morning , look at all the green stuff!

10.01.2022 Misty morning in the kale. Fabulous lettuces, grown under frost cloth and finally...ta, da...very pretty radishes.

09.01.2022 Lovely little red Cos growing nicely. Pretty clouds with lightning and a wee bit of drizzle today. See you all tomorrow folks.

09.01.2022 Spring has sprung at Birchgrove Farm and loving it!

08.01.2022 Sunset over the farm. Frost on the asparagus bed and the tastiest spinach of the year ( in excellent supply ). We also have, for your delectation - upland cress, lettuces, broccoli, salad mix, caulis, purple & green drumhead cabbages, sugarloaf cabbages, eschallots, radishes, Pak choy, spinach beet, rainbow chard, Jap and butternut pumpkins and, finally, red and green apples. Our new flock of pullets are now fully on the lay, so eggs supplies are great too.

08.01.2022 The skies delivered a lovely 10 mls of rain this week. Hoping you're going to want to try our own broccoli -we think it's the best we've ever tasted or grown.

08.01.2022 Busy week on the farm! After the recent rain our greens are powering ahead. Looking forward to seeing you all at our three markets.

07.01.2022 Our stall at the Toowoomba Farmers' Market.

07.01.2022 The garlic is powering along! Lovely early morning on the farm. We have loads of scrumptious organic vegetables for you tomorrow and Sunday. Spring is sprung.

07.01.2022 Never mind that GoT line - Winter is Coming. It's belly well here! Mt Gravatt folks will want to dig out your woolies for tomorrow's market, but we promise you will not be disappointed as Anton will have LOTS of vegies and eggs to offer. We enjoyed a bit of welcome rain last evening.

06.01.2022 Chickens in the mist! Wintry heaven. Anton picked vegetables in the rain all day like the champ he is. See you tomorrow good people.

05.01.2022 Gorgeous purple garlic, plaited to perfection by Farmer Anton. ...man of many talents.

05.01.2022 To our Carseldine and Mt Gravatt customers - Anton has managed to salvage some lovely green vegies and root crops after the hailstorm on Wednesday evening, so things are not quite so bad as we first thought. The little girls are growing fast - here's a pic.

04.01.2022 Delicious, pretty and healthy - winter veg!

04.01.2022 As dark clouds gather, we are putting the final touches to our offerings for the Mt Gravatt market tomorrow :- Pak Choy, butternut and Jap pumpkins, carrots, lettuces, spinach & salad mix, spinach beet, rainbow chard, eschallots, sugarloaf cabbage, dill, 3 types of kale, garlic and eggs. Bring your brollies.

04.01.2022 We are selling on about 50 of our newly laying pullets, aged about 23 weeks. They are Hyline Browns, commercial layers, in excellent health for $30 each. Pick up time would be around 9 a.m. by pre-order please. PM for address. You will need your own cages.

02.01.2022 Lots of cool nights and warm days make for tasty vegetables. Here's a pic of the young pullets; they're a handful. Snowpeas are available on both markets tomorrow.

01.01.2022 Toowoomba customers - we have not been given a spot at the TFM, sadly. But, the good news is that we are welcome at the PCYC on Sunday.

01.01.2022 We're getting ready to welcome WWOOFers when our Class 1 end of our rural shed is completed. Is it too cheeky to name their quarters The Dog House we wonder? Exciting news - Anton and Micheal have some 'green' garlic for you from tomorrow. Smells wonderful.
