25.01.2022 Who said winter is not a good time to experience the Great Victorian Rail Trail?! ...ok, so this sunny photo was taken last weekend, and yes, this coming weekend will be a bit of a wet one, but more beautiful winter days do lie ahead. So, keep us in mind for your winter adventures!

22.01.2022 TOP 10 POST LOCKDOWN MUSTS We're all dreaming of those day trips and weekend adventures that we'll be taking when it's safe to travel again. Here are so...me of our region's most iconic locations to add to that post lockdown bucket list! 1 WIRRAWILLA RAINFOREST WALK, TOOLANGI A short and gentle boardwalk circuit that takes in the sounds and scents of the rainforest characterised by Myrtle Beech and Sassafras trees. 2 CHEVIOT TUNNEL, YEA Located midway between Molesworth and Yea along the Great Victorian Rail trail this tunnel was constructed from an estimated 675,000 handmade bricks using local clay. 3 RUBICON VALLEY HISTORIC AREA This area offers some great walks set amongst the stunning Rubicon River and Falls, a series of spectacular trestle bridges, remnants of the timber industry and also Victoria's first hydroelectric system. 4 FOGGS LOOKOUT, EILDON Also known as Mount Pinninger Lookout, is a stunning vantage point in the Lake Eildon National Park offering spectacular views over the Dam Wall and vast clear waters of Lake Eildon. 5 MASONS FALLS, KINGLAKE Masons Falls is nestled in Kinglake National Park, our closest national park to Melbourne, making it an ideal spot for a day trip or weekend getaway. 6 TOOLANGI SCULPTURE TRAIL, TOOLANGI A forest gallery with dozens of ephermal art pieces dotted along the trail, all designed to blend into the natural environment over time. 7 CATHEDRAL RANGE STATE PARK, TAGGERTY A truly spectacular range that offers incredible views and some of the best hiking opportunities in the state. 8 MURCHISON GAP LOOKOUT, STRATH CREEK A great platform juts out from the side of the hill here and it is a killer sunrise spot with the sun coming up behind the hills and beyond. 9 BRUNO'S ART & SCULPTURE GARDEN, MARYSVILLE A blossoming garden of over 127 life size terracotta sculptures that were restored and introduced after the 2009 Bushfires. STEAVENSON FALLS, MARYSVILLE One of Murrindindi's most iconic waterfalls and one of Victoria's highest waterfalls, plummeting 84 metres and flowing all year round, is Steavenson Falls.
