20.01.2022 First tour for 2020, a 4-day South West with Frank from New York. Here are some of the highlights - Western Bristlebirds almost at our feet at Cheynes Beach (plus excellent Noisy Scrub-bird and Black-throated Whipbird sightings), Crested Shriketit at eye-level at the Stirling Range Retreat and one of many Western Corellas roosting at Frankland.

15.01.2022 Some highlights from the first stages of Limosa's East Coast tour - Yellow-tufted Honeyeater in the Capertee Valley, Glossy Black Cockatoo at Fitzroy Falls, Channel-billed Cuckoo at Kamay-Botany Bay NP, Bassian Thrush at Minnamurra Rainforest and a Red-footed Booby on Michaelmas Cay. More to follow!

15.01.2022 Last day of Limosa's East Coast tour - here is another selection of highlights!

13.01.2022 More from busy February, this time the inaugural SW tour with AAK Nature Watch group from Japan.

13.01.2022 Highlights from two tours this month, one south to Cheynes Beach and the Stirling Ranges, the other north to Nallan Station, Carnarvon and Hamelin Pool Station. Over 200 species recorded in 14 days, including many endemic and sought-after species such as Noisy Scrub-bird, Western Bristlebird, Black-throated Whipbird, Western & Rufous Fieldwrens, Western Quail-thrush, Chiming Wedgebill, Slaty-backed Thornbill, White-breasted Whistler, Dusky Gerygone, Mangrove Fantail, Yellow White-eye, Spinifex Pigeon, Blue-winged Kookaburra and Star Finch.

12.01.2022 February has been an unusually busy month! Here are a few highlights from a 7-day SW tour with Tricia & Dan from Oxford, UK.

11.01.2022 A surprise visitor to Cheynes Beach this week, this Beach Stone-Curlew was a real bonus for three visiting Swiss birdwatchers!

09.01.2022 Here are a few shots from a 4-day SW tour for a Japanese visitor earlier this month - quite likely my last international visitor for who knows how long. The Crested (Western) Shriketit and Western Yellow Robin were at the Stirling Range Retreat, the Nankeen Kestrel and an uncommon Black-browed Albatross at Cheynes Beach and an Australian (Spotted) Crake at Herdsman Lake in Perth.

06.01.2022 Great views today of this male Southern Emuwren at Lake Warden, Esperance, with Limosa Holidays SW Australia tour.

06.01.2022 One of several pairs of very photogenic Spotted Pardalotes at Big Brook Dam, Pemberton on Limosa's recent SW tour.

03.01.2022 Last tour for a while maybe, a 2-day sortie for the 3 notorious skulkers at Cheynes Beach with Ceduna birder-photographers Allan & Carol just a week ago.

01.01.2022 While we still can't showcase our local birds to interstate and overseas visitors, there's been plenty of opportunity recently to get back out into the field and make sure they're ready and waiting! Here are a few pics from trips to the North Stirlings last weekend and Cheynes Beach in May.

01.01.2022 The Dryandra Woodlands are one of the few remaining places in the SW where Bush Stone-curlews can still be found. An added bonus is the chance of finding a Numbat, Western Australia's faunal emblem, not to mention lots of echidnas!
