25.01.2022 WHO LOVES A SURPRISE?!? We think we've got a pretty good one up our sleeve, and we can hardly wait to share it with you all very soon! It's been driving us mad to keep it under wraps, and we're now so close to sharing this exciting news with you all!... 24.01.2022 Wishing all Big Red Bashers a very merry Christmas! We’re looking forward to us all coming together and celebrating on the red sands again in 2021! Hopefully you were nice in 2020 and the Big Red man is good to you today! The Big Red Bash Team

24.01.2022 Need 2021 tickets? Next release 4TH AUGUST 9AM AEST Since the cancellation of the 2020 Big Red Bash, we’ve been issuing refunds for those ticket holders who request them. We’re pleased to announce that on Tuesday 4th August these tickets will be released for sale. Thank you to our 2020 ticket holders for your support, the majority have chosen to hold onto their tickets and rock with us next year! As a result there is a VERY LIMITED number of tickets available for 2021, ...and we do expect that they will be snapped up super fast. If you’ve been waiting for a ticket, be poised and ready at 9am Tuesday! Due to the minimal number of refunds made since the last round, there are no family tickets available. If you are attending with your family, please ensure you purchase the appropriate number of adult, youth and child tickets individually. Tickets will be available via this link: https://tinyurl.com/y5h4axok

23.01.2022 It’s about now when thousands of people from all around Australia would be travelling across our great land, converging on Birdsville from North South East and West for 3 days and nights of Rockin’ the Simpson. The Big Red Bash has grown from humble beginnings into a world class Music Festival thanks to our amazing event team who have worked tirelessly to bring this crazy and unlikely dream to reality. This years enforced pause gives us time to reflect on what’s been achieve...d over the last 7 years. Take a look back at an image from 2014 and then fast forward to more recent times. We’ve got so many special memories of the Bash as it’s grown from those early days, and we’d love to see and hear some of your treasured BRB memories from years gone by. We can’t wait till 2021! #fromlittlethingsbigthingsgrow See more

22.01.2022 TICKETS FOR 2021 GOING BACK ON SALE ON 2ND JUNE Following the cancelation of the 2020 Big Red Bash in early April, we offered ticket holders the choice of a refund or to hold on to their tickets for the 2021 event to be held from 6th to 8th July. Ticket holders have been given up until 30 September to be able to request a refund, and as it has now been nearly 2 months since we announced the cancelation we have issued a number of refunds. ... During this period we have also been receiving numerous enquiries about the availability of tickets for 2021. We are pleased to advise that at 9am AEST on Tuesday 2nd June we will be putting a limited number of 2021 tickets on sale. So far around 10% of ticket holders have requested a refund which enables us to sell an equivalent number of tickets for 2021. Due to the limited availability at this time, we would advise those interested who have definite plans to attend in 2021 get in early to secure their tickets. As more refunds continue to be made as we approach the September 30 refund deadline we will continue to offer for sale any tickets that are refunded. There are a few important things to note about the new tickets going on sale as follows: 1. Due to the limited number of tickets available we are not able to offer a pay over time facility, and all tickets are offered on a pay up front basis only. 2. We will continue to offer refunds up until the 30th September to all ticket holders INCLUDING any who purchase these newly issued tickets. (Note:- Ticketing and processing charges are not refunded) 3. There is a slight increase in the price of these new tickets due to a range of cost increases faced by the festival. Full details of tickets and pricing can be found at the link below and tickets will be available for purchase on line from the Big Red Bash website from 9am AEST Tuesday 2nd June 2020 The Big Red Bash team looks forward to welcoming everyone to Birdsville and the Bash in July '21! 21.01.2022 RECYCLING ALUMINIUM CANS Almost everyone likes to relax by the fire with a tinny after a long day. At the Bash, where glass is prohibited (except in your camp kitchen), we see a lot of cans. In fact, we estimate that over half of the rubbish at the 2017 and 2016 Bash's was aluminium cans. Ever since 2018, with great support from our transport team and the Birdsville locals, we have been recycling aluminium cans onsite. In 2019 we estimate that we crushed 120,000 cans! That's ...45 cubic metres and 1.7 tonnes of aluminium cans kept out of landfill, which is a great result. In 2021 we are planning to recycle even more cans with the help of our can crusher volunteers :)

21.01.2022 Your journey to and from the Big Red Bash is half the fun! With so much to see and do in Outback Queensland, it's worthwhile trying to see some of this great land while you're out this way! If you're looking for itinerary inspiration or need a place to start planning, here are lots of great suggestions for drives that the whole family will enjoy! https://www.outbackqueensland.com.au/drives/

20.01.2022 Our limited tickets which became available for 2021 sold out very quickly this morning. (There are actually a small number of family tickets still available as people who were in the process of purchasing didn't complete the transaction and they are back for sale! Get in quick to grab one, they will be gone soon.) Going forward we will have further tickets available and they will be put on sale on 4th August and again on 7th October with quantities being dependent on refunds we issue over the next 4 months. (existing 2020 ticket holders have up until 30 September to request a refund). Fingers crossed for anyone still after a ticket! https://bigredbash1.oztix.com.au//8b92ef6c-f182-4c55-a48e-

18.01.2022 Check this out! Who’s looking forward to the 1st sunrise of 2021? Not long to wait now. Who has a great BRB sunrise shot they’d like to share?

18.01.2022 Although we’re not going to be back here until July 21, there’s still work happening on site! The main road through the festival site has recently been gravelled which will help to reduce dust and provide a much firmer and more durable main entry road providing better access for everyone including our event trucks and gear. You can also see here how green the campsite is from the record dump of 5 inches of rain earlier in the year! Some work to do here before next year.... Bring on July 2021!

18.01.2022 The third and final day of the 2020 Big Red Bash non event! Do you think we’d have broken the Nutbush record today?!? 17.01.2022 In a flurry of feathers and colour, the infamous Bashville Drags and Fashions on the Field would have been held today. Frills and spills as hundreds of drag racers frolic down Big Red and into the middle of the Plaza, one of them to be crowned 2020 Bashville Drag Queen. Why not dig out your costume and Frock On through hump day!

17.01.2022 We've been notified of at least half a dozen ticket scammers over the weekend. We’d like to remind you that scammers are very active, and will not hesitate to take advantage! Scammers are very good at appearing genuine and honest to gain your trust, before selling you invalid tickets or simply taking your money and disappearing. DO NOT trust anyone attempting to sell you their tickets. We discourage private ticket sales for this reason, and we cannot guarantee ticket validi...ty unless purchased directly through the official ticketing site. Birdsville is a very long way to travel with invalid tickets, we don’t want you to be disappointed! Reasons we DO NOT endorse or encourage private ticket sales: Scammers can sell tickets to multiple people, meaning when you arrive at the event, your ticket may have already been scanned in, leaving you with an invalid ticket and no event entry. Changing the ticket name or email address does not guarantee validity; see point above. It may have already been sold to multiple people prior to the name change. In the event of a cancellation (such as in 2020), the official ticketing agent can only refund the original ticket purchaser. They’re unable to refund individuals who’ve purchased tickets through private sales or unofficial sellers. We anticipate there will be an official re-sale facility available in the lead up to the event which will enable the buying and selling of valid tickets in a safe and secure environment. Until then, keep your wits about you and be skeptical of anyone trying to sell you their tickets!

17.01.2022 Here’s the direct link to the Ticketing page for those who are after the limited amount of 2021 tickets which go on sale at 9am tomorrow morning. This is now on our ticket page on the Big Red Bash website. Good luck to those after tickets and we can’t wait to get the Simpson Desert rockin’ again with everyone in July 21! https://bigredbash1.oztix.com.au//8b92ef6c-f182-4c55-a48e-

16.01.2022 It’s the 21st of December .....

15.01.2022 SCAM ALERT Sadly we've been made aware of several people who have been scammed recently purchasing tickets from unknown people. This post is a reminder to not get sucked into buying tickets from scammers. They are very convincing and suck you into believing you are entering into a genuine sale, only to take your hard earned cash and not provide you with a valid ticket. We know that with the event currently sold out, there are many people desperate to get their hands on ...a ticket. The demand for this event is currently exceeding ticket availability, giving scammers the perfect opportunity to rip you off! Please keep your wits about you, and don't let your eagerness benefit a dodgy scammer! A reminder that ALL ticket holders are able to receive a refund up until 30th September - so there is no logic or reason for people to sell privately, particularly for a cheaper price when they can very easily receive a refund. There will be 2 more ticket releases on 4th August and 7th October to allow any refunded tickets to be sold again. Top tips to avoid being scammed: DO NOT purchase from unknown sources, no matter how 'honest' and 'genuine' they appear. Purchase only through the official ticketing outlet (Oztix) Posts and comments from people looking to purchase tickets or sell tickets may be deleted from this page DO NOT reply to private messages from people offering to sell you their tickets If it's too good to be true, it usually is!

07.01.2022 The refund deadline of 30th September for all ticket holders is fast approaching. Which means the final ticket release is imminent! The last 2 rounds of tickets released has seen extreme demand and sold out within minutes. We know it is stressful competing with so many others at the ticket release time, all trying to secure tickets. So, for this last round, we’ve decided to do things differently. The final round of tickets released will be managed via a ballot entry system - ...fair, stress free and easy. Every person who enters will have an equal chance in being successful at securing tickets. The ballot is now open for entry and will close at 5pm Tuesday 6th October 2020 (AESDT). For full details and to enter the ballot visit our website - https://www.bigredbash.com.au//ballot-entry-for-2021-ticke
