After a couple of months of reduced services, the Birdsville Hotel is pleased to welcome back it’s loyal customers, supporters and friends for this tourist season. With Queenslanders now free to move around their own State (hopefully cross border restrictions will be lifted soon as well) the Hotel is being fired up in preparation for your arrival. 19.01.2022 Looking for a sea change? We are currently seeking staff for an immediate start at the iconic Birdsville Bakery. We are excited to offer the following positions.... Qualified Baker. Applicants will require a good level of fitness, a strong work ethic and display a detailed history of high-quality baking experience. You will be responsible for producing products such as a range of breads, rolls, pastry products (pies, sausage rolls, pasties) as well as sweet and savoury items. Customer service / All-rounder couple. This position is best suited to a couple to look after the daily tasks of customer service, stock control, food handling, cash and Eftpos handling, short order cooking and cleaning. Applicants will require a good level of fitness, strong work ethic and display a high standard of customer service and cooking skills. QLD RSA and food safety certificates are also required. 15.01.2022 Time to give the old girl some TLC. Step one, take lots of photos before we took the memorabilia down so it goes back in exactly the same spot. Step two, wet wash the walls, fill some holes and cracks. Step three, fresh coat of paint in exactly the same colour to keep the heritage alive. Meals and drinks are flowing out of the Lizard bar while we give this bar a little birthday.

12.01.2022 Hi all, an important update regarding Covid contact tracing. From today forwards all QLD pubs, clubs, restaurants and cafes have been directed by QLD health and the Office of Liquor and Gaming Regulation to ensure that ALL patrons who enter sign in and register contact tracing details electronically. This is law so we do really appreciate your support and patience with this transition away from hand written contact tracing. Please understand that we are required to refuse en...try to any patron not following this requirement. To ensure we all work together to eventually beat this virus we are working to ensure that the electronic sign in process is as easy and convenient as possible for you all. We have a QR code set up for you to scan on your smart phone or tablet and you then simply fill out the details as prompted. Be sure to have the submitted page ready to show bar staff to confirm you have checked in. For patrons without a smart device or who is not able to operate the QR code system our staff will make sure you are assisted with this with our own electronic access. Many thanks.
