19.01.2022 I have had many breastfeeding images taken down by FB (reposted after review) because they were deemed pornographic. My husband received a shared post which was actual porn - that was okay though apparently

17.01.2022 The dreaded Fetal Scalp Monitor
15.01.2022 Humans are not a cache species. We are not wired to hide our young in a 'safe den', (aka own bedroom). We are designed to carry our young close to our breasts at all times.
15.01.2022 "All the eggs a woman will ever carry, form in her ovaries while she is a four month old fetus in the womb of her mother. This means our cellular life as an egg... begins in the womb of our grandmother. Each of us spent five months in our grandmother's womb, and she in turn formed in the womb of her grandmother. We vibrate to the rhythm of our mother's blood before she herself is born, and this pulse is the thread of blood that runs all the way back through the grandmothers to the first mother." ~ Layne Redmond Art by Amy Haderer www.mandalajourney.com/store/p411/Triple-Goddess-Prints.html
14.01.2022 What a beautiful thing - just look at the perfect latch this brand new bubba has. First time mumma is doing a wonderful job!
13.01.2022 No matter how old you are, whether it is your first baby or your tenth, you have rights: you have the right to be truthfully informed you have the right to question you have the right to respect you have the right to be supported ... you have the right to say NO................ See more
13.01.2022 Humans like this are dangerous. Dr Dietz is insane. He is a vile misogynist whose job it is to 'care for' women. I can only hope that he falls under a bus. https://www.theguardian.com//sydney-obstetrician-said-wome
12.01.2022 As PANDA week draws to a close I am calling on all women to support and look after one another. Treat each other with kindness and love. Build your community, even if it is only consists of a few people. Don't wait for someone to ask for help, if you see something needs doing - just do it. If you are visiting a new mum don't go empty handed. Let her know you are available for a chat at ANY time because it is often in the wee small hours that things seem insurmountable. If you suspect that your sister, daughter, friend, cousin, aunty is not coping too well then acknowledge it and be proactive.

11.01.2022 I would like to wish everyone a safe and happy festive season. I have thought long and hard and decided to leave Social Media. It has benefits and for some can be a life line but for me it reflects a shift that doesn't sit comfortably. 11.01.2022 The definitions of 'full term' pregnancy were changed in 2012 and still OB's are recommending induction prior to 39 weeks!
10.01.2022 This moron is a chauvinist, misogynist, narcissist and also a leading expert and sub specialist for RANZCOG. According to him Natural Physiological Childbirth should be avoided and there are too many women in the medical field. This is from his website - notice there are no positive or encouraging words about birth..... is it any wonder our caesarean rates are soaring Professor Hans Peter Dietz is an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist and RANZCOG-certified subspecialist in Urogyn...aecology. He is an internationally renowned expert in pelvic floor imaging. Professor Dietzs research focuses on the prevention and treatment of maternal pelvic floor trauma related to childbirth. For over 25 years, he has studied damage to pelvic organ support structures, associated with childbirth, and is recognised for his pioneering research in the field. His work is of fundamental importance as a substantial proportion of women delivering their first child vaginally suffer extensive damage to pelvic floor structures, which can result in pelvic organ prolapse and/or urinary or fecal incontinence, often many years after childbirth, which can be extremely distressing. Aside from the costs associated with surgical treatment, prolapse due to pelvic floor trauma is particularly difficult to repair and may recur after surgery. Professor Dietzs seminal research contributions include the rediscovery on ultrasound, of trauma to a muscle that plays a major role in childbirth (the levator ani) occurring as a consequence of vaginal delivery. He has documented findings regarding such trauma during and after labour, identified forceps delivery as the major risk factor for levator trauma, and defined other risk factors such as age at first delivery. His research has established a clear relationship between levator trauma and pelvic organ prolapse and prolapse recurrence after reconstructive surgery. Additionally, he has developed non-invasive imaging techniques for the evaluation of women with prolapse, obstructed defecation and fecal incontinence. His group has been the first to diagnose and to attempt the repair of levator trauma during labour. Professor Dietz is Editor of the journal Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Associate Editor of the Australian and New Zealand Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. See more

09.01.2022 There she is. . . the too much woman. The one who loves too hard, feels too deeply, asks too often, desires too much. There she is taking up too much space, ...with her laughter, her curves, her honesty, her sexuality. Her presence is as tall as a tree, as wide as a mountain. Her energy occupies every crevice of the room. Too much space she takes. She is dangerous. And there she goes, that too much woman, making people think too much, feel too much, swoon too much. She with her authentic prose and a self-assuredness in the way she carries herself. She with her belly laughs and her insatiable appetite and her proneness to fiery passion. All eyes on her, thinking shes hot shit. Oh, that too much woman. . . too loud, too vibrant, too honest, too emotional, too smart, too intense, too pretty, too difficult, too sensitive, too wild, too intimidating, too successful, too fat, too strong, too political, too joyous, too needytoo much. She should simmer down a bit, be taken down a couple notches. Someone should put her back in a more respectable place. Someone should tell her. Here I am. . . a Too Much Woman, with my too-tender heart and my too-much emotions. A hedonist, feminist, pleasure seeker, empath. I want a lotjustice, sincerity, spaciousness, ease, intimacy, actualization, respect, to be seen, to be understood, your undivided attention, and all of your promises to be kept. Ive been called high maintenance because I want what I want, and intimidating because of the space I occupy. Ive been called selfish because I am self-loving. Ive been called a witch because I know how to heal myself. And still. . . I rise. Still, I want and feel and ask and risk and take up space. I must. Us Too Much Women have been facing extermination for centurieswe are so afraid of her, terrified of her big presence, of the way she commands respect and wields the truth of her feelings. Weve been trying to stifle the Too Much Woman for ionsin our sisters, in our wives, in our daughters. And even now, even today, we shame the Too Much Woman for her bigness, for her wanting, for her passionate nature. And still. . . she thrives. In my own world and before my very eyes, I am witnessing the reclamation and rising up of the Too Much Woman. That Too Much Woman is also known to some as Wild Woman or the Divine Feminine. In any case, she is me, she is you, and she is loving that shes finally, finally getting some airtime. If youve ever been called too much, or overly emotional, or bitchy, or stuck up, you are likely a Too Much Woman. And if you are. . . I implore you to embrace all that you areall of your depth, all of your vastness; to not hold yourself in, and to never abandon yourself, your bigness, your radiance. Forget everything youve heardyour too much-ness is a gift; oh yes, one that can heal, incite, liberate, and cut straight to the heart of things. Do not be afraid of this gift, and let no one shy you away from it. Your too much-ness is magic, is medicine. It can change the world. So please, Too Much Woman: Ask. Seek. Desire. Expand. Move. Feel. Be. Make your waves, fan your flames, give us chills"... Ev'yan Whitney inspired by Gina Hatzis... Artist Richard wilkinson

05.01.2022 Cervical Assessments are not compulsory at anytime during pregnancy or labour/birth. You can say NO and it is illegal for you to be forced, bullied or coerced against your will. There are other ways to tell if your labour is progressing.....
