19.01.2022 Happiness is having 3 bags of baby blankets/wraps delivered to your door by a darling fairy godmother! All the families at work are going to be so happy! And all those little snuggly babies are going to be even snugglier! Yay for taking care of each other. Support is the key!
18.01.2022 Long time no see! I am still around! You can catch me at the Doula Conference in March this year. Come along if you can, there are awesome speakers (including the beautiful Denise Love, a woman of my own heart)
17.01.2022 Speaking at The Doula Conference today! That was heaps fun! Lots of amazing speakers, some who have been my teachers! So much love!
16.01.2022 Hello my Loves! I know I have been quiet on this page for a little while now but I have not been quiet in my life! I spend most of my days running the Koori Maternity Service at Western Health, working with the Aboriginal families of the West. I am going away for a short time to volunteer out at the a remote community in the desert with an inspiring group called NASCA. ... I would really love to raise at least $1000 for NASCA as it is an all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander mob who come together to set these programs up for these communities. If you can help by donating some money for NASCA or by sharing this, I would really appreciate it. I am really looking forward to this volunteer adventure and spending time with the families in the desert and I know I will learn a whole bunch of stuff. Thanks my loves https://give.everydayhero.com/au/sheree-9

14.01.2022 I do my own version of this!! I've cared for 31 Aboriginal families this year alone and over the last couple years I have seen improvement in health outcomes for Mum and Bub as well as everyone feeling cared for and supported

11.01.2022 An ordinary condom could be the game-changer that stops women dying in childbirth
10.01.2022 I haven't used my BirthSong page for ages! It was such an active hub when I was in the depths of having my own babies, breastfeeding and working as a midwife and doula. My world is still immersed in the world of birth but these days I have shifted the focus a little. I spend my days providing a Koori Maternity Service to Aboriginal women. I'm back with my people and my songlines. Working with my own community feels like I have finally come home. I'm supporting Aboriginal fam...ilies from early pregnancy to 8 weeks post birth.... however it really stretches beyond 8 weeks as we continue to keep in contact with each other. I will still update this page and share things but I am not as active as I once was because my life is big and full and I am focusing my energy on my new found work and my many little humans I have made.
07.01.2022 Yesssss. Beyonce. "Beyoncé has a luxury so many birthing people of color don’t possess: the wherewithal to buy her way out of a system that won’t meet her needs. The lengths she’s going to for the birth she wants call attention to a need for a range of options for birth, and highlight that people’s past health-care experiences affect their future willingness to engage with medical institutions. In the end, no matter what the fans and the armchair quarterbacks think, it will be up to Beyoncé to decide what feels like the safest, best fit for her and her babies: She’s a grown woman. She can do whatever she wants."
01.01.2022 I gave birth and I am so excited about the future. Blissful Belly Coloring Journal shared this and I loved it! Share yours too!
