14.01.2022 Ever Feel Like a Fraud Do you ever look around and think everyone else has it all together - yet you have no clue what you are doing ...... You probably think all your successes are due to getting lucky and you beat yourself up over your failures as if they are completely owned by you - unlike your success!... You are just waiting on the daily for someone to ask you "Do you even know what the fuck you are doing?" If your answer is 'yes' to any of the above or you thought this was written specifically for you today - then "HELLO and welcome to the impostors' club". The good (and bad) news is this isn't a very exclusive club. Actually if you turned up to one of the club meetings you would look around at a lot of familiar faces - we might even see you at one of these catch ups! We won awards, we featured in global media publications, our businesses grew rapidly - it was going to be "the year" - like seriously the year of all years! But this disease took over us too.. So what is Imposter Syndrome? Impostor syndrome, also called impostor phenomenon or fraud syndrome, is a term to describe the psychological experience of feeling like you don't deserve your success. Impostor syndrome tends to be more common in those who are high achievers they can't quite accept their achievements. You may logically know what you're capable of, you could probably look at a cabinet of achievements and proof but that doesn't stop the monster creeping up on you. When they say success is a mindset game - this couldn't be more true as you will only go as far as your mind will allow you - your level of fear dictates your level of success.
