24.01.2022 Week two of the Push-up Challenge starts today. Each of us in team Team pushing shit up hill has 999 total pushups to do this week. 23.01.2022 Here I am folding safety edges on some steel baking trays. Each side needs a safety edge before the main lip is folded up. This 20min tinsmith workout is great for building bicep and upper back strength. But only in your right arm . Probably not the best idea to give me an arm wrestle.

19.01.2022 These are some of the cookie cutters made today. Every time I make that starfish, my head says, No, its Patrick!!. The Sponge Bob fans out there will know what I mean.

18.01.2022 What time is it??? Brought to you by Spring Creek Organic Vegetables. Based at Navigators, just outside Ballarat. We are so lucky to have an organic vegetable farm with a farm gate shop just 5min drive away. Purchased lots of goodies there today, including the largest heads of broccoli I have ever seen, for just $3.00 a head!

16.01.2022 You may have seen Youtube videos of metal cookie cutters being pressed out on a machine or press. Those videos are strangely satisfying . You may have also seen cookie cutters being 3D printed in plastic. That is as boring as watching grass grow. This is how I handcraft my cookie cutters. This is a leaf and there is quite a few bends in this design. Its not a cutter I make on a cold Ballarat morning, as my hands need to be warmed up for this one. 15.01.2022 Ever wondered what it takes to handcraft a cake tin. Looks easy right? Here I am tapping the wire into the top edge of a very large slice tray. This tray has 110cm length of wire inserted into the top edge for strength. I am using a small nylon hammer, so not to mark the material. The thing Im using pressed up against my belly to hold the wire in place, is a large flat screwdriver. You have to have strong thumbs and bloody strong forearms to do this for hours on end. But in the end, you will have a piece of bakeware that will last a lifetime. Shot in the Clarke Brothers Tinsmiths, Sovereign Hill.

11.01.2022 These cute cutters are driving off to a local customer today. As our restrictions slowly ease, it may not be too long until we see the caravans and holiday makers back on the road. I know I cant wait to throw the tent and sleeping bag in the boot and disappear for a weekend.

10.01.2022 I havent had to make too many cutters in the last month and I have been I bit quiet on the old social media train. Strange times for sure! I spent today bending up lots of cutters for some new wholesale customers, listening to some tunes and contemplating what the rest of this crazy year will bring. 05.01.2022 In between warming my hands on the fan heater, jumping up and down on the guillotine, eating Tee Vee Snacks and trying to find a certain Heart cookie cutter pattern, that I finally found on the back of a Unicorn pattern that I havent made for ages, I did actually managed to get some cutters made. 03.01.2022 The Push-up Challenge continues today with 180 pushups to bust out. As someone who has struggled on and off with their mental health and have family members that have been there also, this is a community problem that is close to all our hearts. What is a few thousand pushups to raise some awareness and also some much needed funds for the great work Headspace does for the community. #pushupchallenge
