Our @brian.tunks glass and @icietla deckchairs and stools look mighty fine in this former Chaplains Cottage from Duntroon. (Relocated many years ago to the former Pialligo Plant Farm). Our ‘Native Paper Flower’ classes with @paper_couture have wrapped up but our friend Glenda (aka @written_by_hand ) elegantly put these words together for me on our workshop table. I was sharing the story of how this part of Canberra was where the first dairies and market gardens were located... something that’s steeped in our sense of community and slow living. 14.01.2022 So this is my dining table at home tonight. I took the vase full of coral charm peonies home from our @bisonhome cottage so we could enjoy them. There’s something so intrinsically beautiful about the way they bloom and then then morph into other colours before they slowly drop their petals. 04.01.2022 Our beautiful and talented friend Jo from Jo Neville] has been busy working on some pieces for Bisonhome] and @crusoeandco . Jo is a phenomenally talented paper artist and her work is regularly featured in art gallery events, stores such as Louis Vuitton, more magazines than I can poke a stick at and now our humble spaces in Canberra. We have been working together on concepts for all three stores and will install these hand-crafted beauties after cup day. References to mimos...a, wattle, flannel flowers made individually and so so beautiful. I am truly privileged to work with such creative friends and I wouldn’t trade my job for the world!
