24.01.2022 Attn Hand-build-at-home-kits: We’ve releases our final glaze workshop for Sunday the 12th of July. We’ll be accepting drop offs to our firing service till the end of June. If you haven’t received any info or emails please let us know. Sometimes we land in the junk folder ... We’d love to see your beautiful works completed at our studio, as well as your lovely faces in our classroom. If you’ve got a kit, you can jump online & book in for a glazing session now! 24.01.2022 We’ve released one final online class, for those who couldn’t make the evening sessions. Join us Saturday 23rd May, 10.30am for a pinch pot workshop. We’ll be pinching planters & lidded pots, learning about joinery & embellishments. If you’d like to purchase a hand-building kit, we’ve released our final stock & made it available for pick-up. This means you can arrange a time to drop down to our studio & collect your kit, ensuring you have it for your booked class. 21.01.2022 Pinching With Porcelain. This beautiful workshop hosted by Sophie Moorhouse Morris, an in-depth introduction to porcelain. Learn more about this tactile medium and create a range of small dishes or vessels for your home. Its beautiful translucent qualities make it the perfect surface for underglaze exploration, all of which is covered in this 2.5hr class. Only 8 seats available, we won’t be releasing a second session for this class at this time. Be sure to jump into the 10.3...0am class if you’ve been wanting to join this session. We just wanted to take a moment to thank you for supporting this small studio during what is a difficult time for small businesses. We’ve been soldiering on and holding hope for the days when we can host our classroom again, we hope to see many of you then!... 09.01.2022 news letter: Good studio space for a ceramic artist can be hard to come by, and the set-up fees of a personal space quickly become expensive. Our Studio Program gives those who've fallen in love with ceramics, much needed time and space to work independently in our spacious, light-filled pottery studio. We welcome wheel throwers and hand-builders to access our studio every Monday and Thursday from 9am - 3pm. Our studio program is open via application on our website. We’ve opened 2 glazing sessions, covering all the need to knows about glazing. We’ll be talking about the difference between oxides, under glazes and glazes as well as providing access to our full glaze library. An email has gone out with full details. We want to keep these sessions accessible during this difficult time and offer valuable knowledge to keep you creating at home. A relaxing time spent with @lucindaflorence, learning about different hand-building processes and techniques. Throughout the term you’ll build your knowledge in working with clay, and sculptural. Learn about slab-building coiling and surface exploration. Flesh out ideas and make some stunning objects for your home.
