19.01.2022 Finally we are itching to present our new cast member Elliot Mitchell playing the role of New Best Friend in Two Twenty Somethings @ KXT bAKEHOUSE Elliott grew up in regional NSW, where he performed with the Tamworth Musical Society in productions including Les Miserables and West Side Story. He also performed as a vocalist for six years with the Tamworth Regional Conservatorium of Music choirs, and as a percussionist with the Tamworth Youth Orchestra. Upon completion of h...is HSC, Elliott relocated to Sydney where he graduated with a Diploma of Theatre Performance from the Sydney Theatre School, and studied improvised theatre for two years with Ferknerkle Productions. He completed several courses in the NIDA Open program before being accepted into the Bachelor of Dramatic Art (Acting) in 2013. Elliott performed in many NIDA productions including The Shewing up of Blanco Posnet, Little Bitch, The Greeks: Hecuba, Agamemnon and Electra, A Dream Play, Reagan Kelly, and Spring Awakening. He more recently appeared as a guest artist in Hedda and A Respectable Wedding, in the NIDA Emerging Artists’ seasons 2018 and 2019. Elliott has appeared in films including Baz Luhrmann’s The Great Gatsby and Dean Murphy’s Charlie and Boots, Steven Vidler’s feature film Standing Up for Sunny which premiered at the Sydney Film Festival 2019, and the ABC Comedy web series Halal Girls. 18.01.2022 Also welcoming back the brilliant Tom Anson Mesker playing the role of Boyfriend in Two Twenty Somethings KXT bAKEHOUSE Tom is an actor and writer from Sydney’s Northern Beaches who graduated from NIDA (BFA Acting) in 2016. Tom’s recent theatre credits include: A TASTE OF HONEY (Belvoir St Theatre), TUESDAY (25A) and SHE RODE HORSES LIKE THE STOCK EXCHANGE (KXT bAKEHOUSE). Tom is currently performing in AUSTRALIAN OPEN at KXT and following a season at Theatre Works last... year, Tom will reprise his role in TWO TWENTY SOMETHINGS DECIDE NEVER TO BE STRESSED ABOUT ANYTHING AGAIN EVER for KXT in March/April. As a playwright, Tom has been mentored by playwrights Jane Bodie, Lachlan Philpott and Ola Animashawun of London’s Royal Court. In 2012, Tom attended Australian Theatre for Young People (atyp)’s National Studio and, in 2013, was a Fresh Ink mentee and wrote for Griffin Theatre Company’s 24 Hour Playwriting Project. The following year, Tom was appointed ATYP’s inaugural Writer in Residence. His work has been published by Currency Press, appeared on Melbourne and Sydney stages, broadcast on ABC’s Radio National and adapted for film.
