02.01.2022 My old man was a product of the World War Two generation. He literally wasted nothing. If he was forging a blade and broke the handle of a hammer, he tossed the broken one into the scrap bin, and grabbed a new one out of a 44 gallon drum full of new ones. When he was in the mood, dad would ferret through the scrap bin, pull out a busted ball pein hammer, and forge it into an axe. This one needs a buff to remove the surface rust and some minor shaping to finish it off.

01.01.2022 After a hiatus if nearly a month, back on the tools today working on the pommel for the Sabre. 50mm thick and cut from a slab of steel I discovered when it smashed the blades off the mower.
