21.01.2022 As we have entered a second lockdown period unfortunately a working bee won't be feasible for the next six weeks. We are really disappointed that we can't catch up with everybody but it can't be helped. We have got really great momentum at the club at the moment and will keep everyone posted on any new news that comes to light. Stay warm and safe everyone.

20.01.2022 We are hoping to have a working bee at the club this Saturday at 10am to try to finish off some repairs to court 2 and do a bit of a tidy up. It is weather dependent so if it's raining too hard we may end up cancelling it so fingers crossed. Obviously we will be practising social distancing and we will have gloves and hand sanitiser available. Bring out your ace in Bittern!

19.01.2022 On 8th October 2020, Bittern Tennis Club had its annual AGM, which proved very successful. Over the last 8 months we have had an influx of new members, despite being in lockdown. Our dedicated committee have managed to achieve many of the goals we set ourselves, and are committed to upgrading the courts and facilities. This upgrade would benefit the whole local community. Many positions on the committee have changed. Our new committee are as follows. Joe Howes - President,... Alex George - Vice President, Ryan Nicholls - Secretary, Jill Duboudin Vice-secretary, Annette Nicholls Treasurer, Les Waugh - Club Coach & Junior & Senior Coordinator, Sam Broad - Night Tennis Coordinator, Candice Elliot - Social Coordinator, Michael Boswell - Online/Social, Joe Howes Marketing, Sandy Sweeney - General committee, John Kaiser - General committee. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Gary Harrison for his dedication to the club over the last 15 years. Garry worked alongside our previous president Les Waugh and both dedicated time and effort to bring this club back from the brink. Les instigated the help of Club Builder 2035, who were appointed to help our club reach our full potential and give back to the community. Now we are equipped with a robust strategic plan and the drive necessary to make this club a fantastic community asset. Working closely with the Mornington Peninsula Shire Council and Tennis Vic will give everyone the opportunity to get on the courts and create a little social hub in Bittern. We are always on the lookout for new members and if you would like to get involved in the club to help out you would be more than welcome. We are looking forward to this club reboot and would love to get you involved. Thank you to all for your ongoing support to the club and watch this space for updates soon! 11.01.2022 Based on the announcement by the State Premier, Dan Andrews and further advice from Sport and Recreation Victoria all tennis clubs and facilities must close until further notice. We know this is a difficult time for everyone. It is important that we respect the new restrictions for our own health and the health and safety of the wider community. The Bittern Tennis Club Committee will still be active in working on how we reopen in the spring and re activate the community throu...gh our great club. Please do stay safe and healthy during this difficult time and hopefully we can see a Return to Tennis again in the Spring. Kind regards Bittern Tennis Club Committee
